No-one has given a damn for the last half a decade @Sun_Addict so they're unlikely to start now!

Ha, aw thanks @WelshmansDaughter. Selling everything for a few quid and going without things all our peers have has kept this build alive. Still got a horrendous amount of debt from it but that's a future us challenge, getting a safe roof over our heads has to be the priority. Would prefer to have been well-off and enjoying especially in our middle age, but ya plays the cards yer dealt

The worry is it ends soon without getting a gaff to live in but all the debt @beanielou! The update on the water is they have dates at the end of the month 'they can do' but they haven't been granted a permit from the council, who helpfully can grant or withdraw a permit up to the day of the works. And the bar stewards are still sitting on our 14k, which we can't ask to have back while they do eff all as they require it for us to be 'booked in' for the work they're not !!!!!! doing.

    Hi,

Love the look of the King’s Arms. Can you tell me where it is please? Visited The Churchill pub in Notting Hill last night. Smashing pub clutter decor, could have stared at the ceiling all night spotting this and that amongst the hangings. Half decent beer but OH paid so don’t know the cost.
Think I may have visited The Vault a few years ago but frankly all the different pubs plus hazy beer memory means I have no fixed point in time.😂

Tooley Street about 10-15 minutes walk from London Bridge station @Slowdown

There are a lot of pubs round there especially once you get near Bermondsey Beer Mile so no shame in hazy memory 😁

If you haven't been, and like pub clutter decor, check out the Edgar Wallace, nearest station Temple or pleasant stroll from Embankment. Two Temple Place is an underrated architectural gem and often has exhibitions on too, if you're in that neck of the woods

All this talk of London pubs, I’ve been in quite a few but no idea what they were called 🤣 Mainly in the High Holborn/Covent Garden area.

I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
