I have a question please knowledgeable people.

On my Credit Karma report, it says

    Financial connections

These are people with whom you’ve shared a financial connection according to your TransUnion credit report.

And on there is my ex partner, which is fine as I was named on the mortgage. But it says

    Originated on: xxx

    Confirmed on: xxx

And has no mention of the fact that we ended that arrangement legally with solicitor at the time of separating. Can I take it that because Credit Karma is using past tense that the info is just for my reference, or does the lack of end date indicate that TransUnion haven't updated their accounts in many years?

I'm not hugely worried as there's no issue with his or my finances but seems a bit odd there's no 'ended' date included

I've looked at mine which still has the old mortgage (paid off years ago) as a link to mr redo. It also says: These are the people you have a financial link with, or have had a link with in the past. If your financial link with someone ends, it will stay on your report unless you apply to TransUnion to remove it. You can disassociate from someone by raising a dispute through TransUnion.

I would be inclined to ask them to remove it

What are people's thoughts on hypothetically paying off the interest on the mortgage chunk we'll be drawing down later this week?
We'd have to wait to see if we didn't need the whole amount of loan obvs (or see if it was not going to cover upcoming necessaries by so far that a major rethink would be needed) but my brain feels like it makes sense to cover the interest rate as soon as possible because then we know we're only counting down from the actual amount owed.
I am however aware that I can have blinkers on when it comes to simplifying my financial thinking and may miss wider aspects
