You are advised in the Newbie/FAQ thread to never telephone the PPC or their solicitor. You are dealing with scammers. A telephone conversation is not worth the paper it is written on. Stop being gullible. You have all the advice yet you are going against it.taffer87 said:
tried to call their number but when you select appeal it just says appeal online and doesn't let you speak to a human
There is no need to identify the driver. They can only pursue the driver and have no idea who it is. They are hoping that you are gullible enough to provide them with that vital information. Ig nore them and wait for the outcome of your appeal, which is likely to be rejected anyway.1 -
Thanks loud and clear0

So I submitted my appeal on 14 August it has been 40 days now and nothing from UKPC other than a reminder and request for driver details.Shouldn’t they have decided on the appeal jn 35 days? Anything I should or can do now
when I login to appeals site it shows as £100 due and sort of allows me to submit and online appeal (button is active but haven’t clicked)0 -
Sit it out for the time being. If you've had a letter from them asking for driver details, it proves they've already had your appeal. Nothing much else you can do at present.taffer87 said:So I submitted my appeal on 14 August it has been 40 days now and nothing from UKPC other than a reminder and request for driver details.Shouldn’t they have decided on the appeal jn 35 days? I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

still nothing - any chance they have rejected the appeal / sent a popla code but lost in the post - not sure what happens in such a scenario?
Btw when i login online the amount seems to have been reduced from £100 to £60 again -- not sure if they do that when rejecting an appeal?0 -
We see that sometimes when they want the keeper to name the driver.taffer87 said:Btw when i login online the amount seems to have been reduced from £100 to £60 again -- not sure if they do that when rejecting an appeal?
They reduce it to £60 to encourage either a response or payment.

okay so received rejection letter today - guess need to start on popla appeal by searching now..
Somehow need to combine notice to hirer not including the Notice to keeper, lease agreement etc with notice to keeper being issued too early for a windscreen PCN (which it wasn't but they say in their "Final Reminder" that it was") - which i know since i got the Notice to keepr from VWFS by asking but not from UKPC - can I do that?

Which is all covered in the third post of the NEWBIES thread, and/or by searching the forum for something like:
POPLA Hirer liability paragraph 13.
ALWAYS CHANGE THE SEARCH TO 'NEWEST'.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

UKPC are not obliged to send you a copy of the NTK because you are not the keeper, but getting it from the hire company has helped because you are now able to use your point 7.
Para 4 should refer to the signs in the ParkingEye v Beavis case.
Remove "defined as" from para 5. Homeguard is spelled incorrectly.
Otherwise it looks okay to me.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.
