Moved from o2 to Tesco Mobile - need advice

It has been deactivated, I've confirmed that with o2. When I make calls the recipient gets the number I was transferring across. I don't have that number. The Tesco Sim I have in my phone is showing as my o2 number when I call people. 

So it sounds as though outgoing calls have been transferred, but not incoming calls (what happens if someone calls the temporary tesco number?) And for some reason you can't send texts.
At least it sounds as though your number hasn't been lost as it is being used to identify outgoing calls.

I've not heard of anyone being able to make outbound calls using the transferred number but not being able to receive them before.. i've seen it the other way round which was fixed by editing some of the phone settings. As @savergrant said this is probably a good thing as the number is still active. Keeping my fingers crossed they manage to fix it.
