Just to let all you Double wear fans know ,I recently Purchased some from ebay- (seller Carolyn 6146) . For £9.50 I'll be the first to admit that I was really dubious at first, but thought I'd take the risk anyway.

Having used this foundation every day for at least 6 years ( yep, even whilst giving birth !) I can say that this is the genuine Item & it arrived in double quick time also !

    Hope this Helps

I notice lots of you are raving about YSL Touche Eclat - can you explain how you use it please, and where. I've tried it under foundation to hide a few freckles but the foundation seemed to rub it off and it doesn't work over foundation either. Am I doing something wrong or is it meant for something else?

I use it after I have put on my foundation in areas under my eyes, sides of my nose and around my mouth where I have patchiness or red veins.
For my eyes I dot it all the way along between the lower lid and very top of my lower eye socket. Then I dab it in rather than rubbing as that takes it off again and damages the skin. Around my nose and mouth I do the same and just dab it in.
The secret is not to use too much as it gives you reverse panda eyes like Caprice in this pic caprice-bourret-picture-1.jpg
  • I don't go in for a whole lot of make up or products, but have always been complimented about my skin. I think i was blessed with good skin (my Granny never wore make up at all and she looked great). I always used Johnstons baby lotion to cleanse my face and neck and would wipe it off with a tissue and then splash my face and neck with cold water and pat my skin dry. I do not spend a lot of money on a moisture either and always use a cheaper one and have very soft skin and apart from a few spots when i was a teenager as we do, i have always had a smooth skin. I would feel naked without a mascara though so i like to wear one if going out anywhere:) I like a make up by L'oriel (sorry can't remember the name of it0 but it is lovely and i just like a shimmer of colour on my lips never lipstick, something shiny and natural always. I use a brown eyebrow pencil as my eyebrows are going grey this while back:) There are loads of lovely products out there but i would never spend much and what i have lasts me ages. I have used baby lotion recently by Sainsburys own brand as it does the same job as the Johnstons one and is cheaper. Very old style:) leaves money over for the other things we need:j

Ooh I wish I could use baby lotion anywhere on my body, I swell up like the elephant man if I put it on my skin :(

I have extremely reactive skin and have found Dermalogica is the only brand I can use for great looking skin with no bad reactions. I use:
    Ultracalming Cleanser
    Soothing Protection Spray
    Intensive Moisture Balance
    Daily Microfoliant

It is pricey but worth every penny, IMO. I have fairly severe eczema which affects my face but since discovering Dermalogica, it keeps my skin clear and I get lots of compliments about how great my skin looks. Care4yourskin.com usually has good prices.

In terms of make-up, I love....
MAC eyeshadows (Vex is my fave colour...very versatile)
    Benefit Some Kind of Gorgeous
    Benefit Dandelion blusher
Pout eyeliner (pity they've closed down now)
Urban Decay or Chantecaille for lip glosses
Stila Fibre Optics Mascara (love YSL faux cils too but find it dries out very quickly and is clumpy within a few weeks of opening. Far too expensive to replace every 4-6 weeks!) Dior Show is also an acceptable alternative.
Benefit Hula/Dallas bronzers (Dallas is better for work, Hula for going out)
Good old vaseline for a bit of everything...lip gloss, brow taming, cheek highligting etc. Cheap, cheerful and the absolute must-have in my handbag.

    Perfumes:
    La Prairie- Silver Rain
    Prescriptives - Calyx
    Dior - Pure Poison
    Marc Jacobs - Amber

High end make-up junkie? Moi? Probably.... ;)

I love makeup but admit sometimes I rush in applying it and end up looking strange .Blusher is my favourite item and I swear by No7 blush or Boots 17-affordable but offer fantastic results(for me anyway).Eyeshadows-Ruby&millie metallics-Bodyshop and Loreal.Mascara-dior, Bourjois or loreal telescopic.eyeliner-collection 2000&rimmel .Lipsticks-No7 or maybelline.Foundation-Lilly lolo in candy cane -perfect shade but makes me itch,I use maxfactor seamless, panstick miracle touch, no7 stay perfect &still cannot get the result I want or need, as a last resort I purchased the rio airbrush kit which seemed to work well at first but was leaving me with a thick powdery finish.I am considering the doublewear or dior.My skincare staple is neutrogena gel wash, lush mask of magnaminty, no7 dermabrasion and boots fragrance free eyemakeup rmeover wipes.I have benefit and dior makeup but tend to keep it for the packaging rather than usage which is silly according to Dh.Perfumes are my addiction and stella macacrtneys stella sheer 2007, rose absolute and original stella are my top3, after which I would rank chanel chance, guerlain insolence and serpentine by roberto cavalli as my musthaves.I have just realised that I need to invest in a set of decent brushes
    Love can tame the wildest
