I've just run off to get my make-up bag!
Liz Earle again here!! Cleanse & Polish and the exfoliator, I just couldn't be without either of them.
YSL Touche Eclat, say no more!
Benefit f.y. eye, it's an eyeshadow primer as I've found that eyeshadow transfers and wears off now that I'm in my 40's. This holds it firm!
Maybelline dream matte mousse foundation 010 Ivory, the first foundation that I've ever used regularly, even I can apply it without too much stress.
Maybelline dream matt blush 05 Plum, the foundation gave me the confidence to try the blusher, this the easiest blusher that I've ever used.
Chanel Inimitable mascara, it's my current favourite replacing my usual YSL one.
Loreal Invincible Kiss Proof lipstick 101 Crystal Rose. It's been discontinued now so I'm stocking up on ebay. I love that it looks so natural and lasts pretty much all day. Even if I'm wearing no other make-up I never leave the house without this on. (I never thought that I'd say that about a lipstick, I feel old!)
Angel Lily perfume by Thierry Mugler. It's become "my" scent now. I just love it and wear it every day, even if I'm not going out!
There, I really enjoyed that! Great thread!:smileyhea "here, hare, here" :smileyhea0 -
My top products are:
Best powder blusher: Nars in Deep Throat (more natural and less shimmery than Orgasm)
Best liquid blusher: Benetint by Benefit
Best pressed powder: Becca (available at House of Fraser and at the Becca boutique in South Kensington)
Best foundation: Becca (my skin looks perfect but also like I'm not wearing any make up)
Best foundation faker: Some Kind of Gorgeous by Benefit
Best bronzer: Dallas by Benefit (more natural than Hoola)
Best liquid eyeliner: Fluidline by MAC
Best face serum: Mega Mushroom serum by Origins (it makes my skin incredibly fine and smooth after just 2 weeks use)
Best brow colour: Brow Zing by Benefit
kimevans and nottslass, I'm so pleased to meet kindred spirits. nothing makes me happier than playing with and shopping for make up.Not buying clothes for a year - it's liberating!0 -
Have Just ordered Liz Earle cleanse and polish - I've never tried it before, but it sounds fab.
Has anyone tried the Bobbi Brown shimmer brick ? I keep having a play with it as a saunter past the counter, but not quite sure if its a bit sparkley for somebody fast approaching the big 40 !0 -
I am on my second pot of Estee Lauder double wear foundation. On at 7.30 am - still looks great at 7.30 pm. BUT it seems to be bringing me out in spots. The sales girl said I should double cleanse but I don't. I'm another Liz Earle cleanse and polish fan but find it too expensive to use twice. Maybe I should use a cheap cleanser for the first cleanse and LE for the second? Did anyone else notice John Lewis now stock Liz Earle - so no postage if you live near a store.0

prudencekitten, have you tried the Tesco equivalent of Cleanse and Polish? I was v dubious before trying it, but I wouldn't swap back now!
Other goodies I swear by ...
Benefit Highbeam
YSL Touche Eclat and the false eyelash mascara
Clinique Extra Help Make Up foundation (no longer made and on my last bottle, have used it for 15 years, what will I do next?!!)
Haven't got my make up bag with me at the mo, will add more later! xGone ... or have I?0 -
Hi,
These are the only two items I'm loyal to:
Foundation - Bare Essentials powder ( I swear my skin is better since I started using this
Highlighter - Benefit High Beam
I also love Bare Essentials foundation wouldnt use anything else now, also Philosophy skincare especially the cleanser whose name escapes me right now:rolleyes:
Purity:heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0 -
I love Stila eye shadow, gorgeous colours and apply and stay on really well.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

I put clinique 'turnaround' cream on-it is fab
I use double wear(recent convert) foundation
Estee Mascara-I have eyes like Jo from spooks then, only not blue
I use some liquid blusher, think it's rimmel
come maceroooonie coloured lipliner and clinique lipgloss(I blend it in so I don't look like a !!!!!! star or pamela anderson)
I use no7 intelligent colour when it's just a normal day
I use take the day off by clinique, it's really greasey but blimey it gets the foundation off, then use loreal to make sure I have it all, and repairwear for when the slap comes off!!!!Oh....I'm not going to lie to you......At the end of the day, when alls said and done......do you know what I mean.........TIDY0 -

My sister has the same problem, she's been using it for about 4 months now - her skin used to be flawless, now she has rash like areas around her temple, forehead and mouth. I use Doublewear too, but only on special occasions, cos its otherwise a little heavy for me. The longwearing alternative for me is Diorwear Extreme Flawless makeup...it feels soo much nicer, and melts into the skin!
My faves:
Foundation: Diorwear Extreme Flawless or Maybelline Everfresh
Blusher: NARS orgasm or Benefit Dandelion - I also use dandelion all over the face, it seems to brighten my skin
Powder: MAC Blot powder - doesnt cake, or feel powdery on the skin
Mascara: Clinique naturally glossy for everyday or Diorshow for going out
Lipglosses: MAC or Revlon
Eyeliner: MAC fluidline and Urban Decay 24/7
Eyeshadows: MAC or Urban decay
Highlighter: Benefit moon beam or Red Earth magic potion (used to be Revlon skinlights til it was disc)
and I love Liz Earle Cleanse and polish too but just got too lazy to use everyday :S
Eyeshadows:We got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic.

Estee lauder double wear foundation is the best ever - it really does last all day,
Definately agree with this oneI thought after 5 years using the same one I would try something different and went for a colour consultation at the Prescriptives counter but the foundation just wasn't as forgiving as Estee Lauder double wear, you could still see little thread veins and scars whch are invisible with the EL.
