Noted! What is the polish like for chipping?

    TIA!

Borjoise (sp?) is great for not chipping, the quick apply one with the funky brush. I use it on my toes.

Can I add a new one to my list?
Seeing as Estee Lauder recently withdrew the liner I use I thought I would try their double wear liquid liner. It certainly is double wear, I can't get it off!!!!
Doesn't smudge at all, even if you rub your eyes (I'm not exaggerating here) and it goes on perfectly so its great for the sexy 50's look

    Hello x

I love this thread. Has anyone used the new double wear light foundation? I loved the double wear for my wedding but found it a bit heavy so am interested in trying it out.

    TIA

Yep I am just about finishing my sample and its lovely, very light and good for wearing during the day. i am going to buy some as soon as my Double Wear runs out.
Just go to your local Estee Lauder counter and they will colour match you for it and give you a sample to try, enough for a few days

Hi just wanted to add a quick two :)
Eyeliner: Urban Decay 24/7 stay on for ages and come in some great colours. I have five of them but mostly use the black one.
Eyeshadows: I love Mac eyeshadows! They also last for ages and have such a wide range of colours. I know they are quite expensive but they last for aaages and I stocked up in the U.S. :D
Still on the hunt for the perfect mascara (have tried diorshow, lancome and estee lauder) and the perfect lipbalm (tried vaseline, burt's bees, body shop..!)
I was wondering if anyone has tried Liz Earle's lipbalm and thigh and leg gel, thinking of ordering some on QVC tomorrow!
    Love this thread btw :)

Hiya Jellytot (love the username.. ha ha)

Have you tried Benefit bad gal fat lash mascara? I love it - well worth a try. Its my favourite.

Cannot comment on the liz earle stuff you want to try but I ordered an eye cream and moisturiser and am really pleased with it - I ordered it from the liz earle site and got a nice freebie too.

At least with QVC you have a 30 day money back guarantee.
I have had elemis kits from them, all excellent, and my latest is an OPI nail kit. The Nail Envy is marvellous. Just after using it once my nails have not broken, and after 3 times they are the best they have ever been , so strong and i am sure way cheaper than getting acrylics done. My nails get a right hammering at work because of the way makeup is packaged, as I have to open hundreds of tiny packages sealed in tough plastic.

  • I've just finished using my Double Wear and Double Wear Light samples.

Double Wear was a bit too heavy for me - more night-time makeup.

Double Wear Light was better but the colour had too much of a yellow base.

I've got that lovely pale skin that looks like corned beef on cold days - something us Northern girls specialise in.

I'm yet to find a foundation that doesn't make me look ill, am contemplating shelling out for Prescriptives.

That is my skintone. I used to wear Estee Lauder as well but have switched to Christian Dior Diorskin Eclat Satin - Moisture Release. Colour is 200. Its not cheap but is brill and has lasted for absolutely ever!

This sounds great, but I have combo skin and I think it might be too heavy.

Can anyone recommend a foundation for a pink-toned, shiney nosed lass?
