Thanks Alison and Sarah
Think my next test will be badgal thenI remember boots had an offer of 500 extra clubcard points a while ago if you bought two benefit products, am thinking of a blusher too.
Sarah- think I will be ordering the 8 energising ultimate collection on QVC, fantastic value and has a fair few of the products I was going to order anyway. Oooh yes, I love the freebies :P am so impressed with the size!0 -

I don't find it heavy at all. Go along to a Christian Dior counter anyway, they will try some on you or you could ask for a sample. See what you think.A cloudy day is no match for a sunny disposition~ William Arthur Ward ~0 -

I have shine on my nose and forehead, even though the rest of it is dry. Bit of a pain - having two different types of skin. But I just put translucent powder on those bits, its fine.
Dior do other foundations anyway, so have a try.A cloudy day is no match for a sunny disposition~ William Arthur Ward ~0 -
This thread makes great reading :rotfl:
Im afraid Im a complete scrimper the last few years when it comes to make up, a few (well I think they are tips) I have picked up:
- vaseline for keeping eyebrows in shape, as well as mixing with eyeshaow for cheap lippy!!
- clinique superfit foundation, cheap as chips on e-bay!
- Sally henson airbrush legs/body for foundation type/fake tan (stuff you can actually see so you dont look like a zebra) , £4 in ethel austins if you check every week you will catch it in stock as opposed to the absurd £11 in superdrug etc!! fantastic stuff for covering corned beef legs, marks and scars or just for an easy quick tan
- Again Ethil Austins if there is one near you, make sure you visit it!! My sister dragged me in and I found (sit down) YSL Touche Eclat for £5!! they seem to have factory seconds, all fine and sealed in here for crazy prices!
- I use Aussie Miracle hair care stuff, mainly colour mate shampoo and skip a step conditioner, lovely smelling stuff that is on offer for BOGOF sometimes or 2 for £6 (Boots), started using it after a bad dying incident which left my hair brittle and weak, the 3 minute reconstruction stuff is fab and can repair most badly damaged hair, its usually included in the the above offers.
- I got the estee lauder set at xmas for £45 which had over £200 of goodies in it which last me all year!! was buying a present as perfume anyway so got the set discounted in a nice ig case with brushes too, bargain!)

Where? Where?! I'm all excited but no link0 -
Still on the hunt for the perfect mascara (have tried diorshow, lancome and estee lauder) and the perfect lipbalm (tried vaseline, burt's bees, body shop..!)
Atm I'm using a Johnson's lipbalm, it's in like a cardboard box with a strip to hang up, and it's a stick, think it's pale blue ad pick. It feels nice and soft when you put it on.0 -

There you go
They also have the lip inflation lipgloss twinpack for £4.99, usually £5.99 each. I love it so got 2 packsTill recognised the price before the revlon discount came off so got free shipping too
(wys £20)

i really need some help in getting a foundation. i have tried 17 minreal foundation which i really like but found it wasnt very long lasting. so i then tried the new loreal true minerals powder/foundation but it feels sticky on!!
does anyone have any suggestions? i like the creme to powder compact style ones & am on abit of a budget?
Not exactly a budget buy at £19.50 (I nearly had a heart attack at the idea of spending that on one piece of makeup when finally decided to buy it), but it works well:
the Benefit foundation faker Some Kinda Gorgeous - it's a cream to powder compact with a mirror and sponge pad. It only comes in one shade that's supposed to suit everyone, which I would have put money on being untrue, but the nice lady at the counter plonked it on me (very pale, yellow tinged skin) and my friend (pinky complexion) and it looked good on us both. It's very ery easy to apply as well - I'm quite cack handed!0
