I have a 5 year old who is very anxious it does happen. He's stood at the window looking at the sky with tears in his eyes saying "please daddy when will it snow?"

But as you know Rog Wiltshire is an odd place for weather, it sometimes seems to have it's own micro climate to everything around it :)

Thanks tf - if it doesn't snow you can tell your '5 year old' it's all my fault. Work has just phoned to say that they don't need me tonight, as orders are low, and have asked me to take this evening, and Saturday, as holiday.

Yes they are contracted, but the contract does state that they can offer alternative work, within the store, but the store is also 'dead'. I'm not overly bothered - may take a couple of days to go and discuss my business plans with my potential business backer.

  • Hi everyone I'm looking at the cashplus gold card and it would seem to have a monthly subscription fee of £4.95. Is this correct? To that end, are there any free ones?? Probably not eh? GF

Hi gf - if you do not intend to use it much, you can opt for the £1 per transaction fee, but if you reckon on using it more than 5 times a month, then that is more expensive.
As with most things in life, there are none that are totally free to use - they get you one way or t'other.

Cashplus can be used to hire a car, according to their website you need to contact them to have the feature turned on. I know people on another forum who travel to Florida a lot and they have successfully used there Cashplus cards for car hire.

I've used mine to pay for the actual 'hire' of the car, and was assured by cashplus that it would be okay for the 'deposit' - it was just that, on arrival at Venice, Europcar put the card in their machine and it said 'No'.
At 11.00 pm - I had little choice. When, later I spoke to cashplus, they did point out that their 'system' may refuse to accept what is, after all, a promise, by them, to pay the Car Hire Company €500 in the case of a claim, which could be several weeks after my return, and when there may be no 'credit' left on the card.

Point is they are not all the same. Anyone considering a pre-paid card should read the info I posted above about the differences between each type of card.
