Hello hello all.
Today I've done paid stuff, most dailies, admin, walked Poppet and hoovered and mopped through. Back to paid stuff soonSpend less now, work less later.7 -
Hi all
Thank goodness you have got an appointment Pigpen. Hope you get some sense out of them.
A duvet day yesterday and 9 hours sleep last night has thankfully knocked whatever lurgy I was coming down with on the head, I feel so much better.
Paid stuff done, a few errands run in town, quick trip to Li@l, half hour weeding and a quick tidy around completed before DH came home. I do need to fly over the weekend but thats OK.
Feet up and a glass of wine now.6 -
Glad you're feeling better, YL x
It's been a busy couple of days here. DD was due to arrive with DGS1+2 on Thursday afternoon, so in the morning we cleaned the house top to bottom. I'd already done a big shop on Wednesday. Then DS1 asked if we could have DGD1+2 to stay overnight, so we squeezed them in as well and fortunately had enough food to go round. There was lots of giggling and laughterDS1 came for breakfast this morning so that he could catch up with his sister, then left with the girls. DD and I worked out in the garden for an hour before lunch: she planted out all the bulbs I had lifted from the patio pots, as well as some Michaelmas daisies, while I tidied and the back yard area. (this, and lots of loading and unloading the DW, was my flying for today!) Then this afternoon DD suddenly suggested that we should go and watch glass blowing (the local craft/industry) so the 5 of us went to a nearby craft centre and stood for almost an hour watching a man creating a multilayered bowl in shades of pink, red and gold which is to be sent on to an engraver. It was all fascinating, and I wish I could see the finished article. We also talked to a stained glass artist and a printer about their work. Back home for tea and scones, then an early tea so that DD and the boys could leave soon after 6.00 - they were back home in Surrey at 8.30, which is good going! And now I am just a bit tired...
It's the heavy horse show tomorrow over on the other side of the big river, not far from the forest, but unless I wake up feeling absolutely on top of the world, I think we'll give it a miss. The weather forecast is not brilliant, and parking is in what will quickly become a muddy field which I don't particularly want to get stuck in.

Morning peeps,
Another paid day yesterday but got my exercise in by walking too/from but was exhausted as I have been getting up earlier to try and adjust my body clock for my new hours next week. I haven’t been going to bed earlier to counteract for the lack of sleep so need to build that in. My extra day off this week will be spent I think catching up on making appointments for things like blood tests, B12 injection, eye tests, hair etc as well as some flying of course.
DD did one of her bomb site dinners again yesterday so after the clean up I did nothing else but chill until I fell asleep on her sofa. Was awake at 5.30 this morning, body clock adjustment is working, and managed to get another hour more sleep before getting up for cuppa and feeding dog. Just supping that in bed then will get up, eat shower and make the most of the day which will include finance shuffle, bank for cash and whatever else comes up. No hurkle durkling here today. Hope you all have a good one.Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!6 -

Hello all
Sorry for having been mia. Somebody stole my week. One minute it was Tuesday, next minute here I am on Saturday morning. Quite ready to hurkle-durkle.
DH, in his new found semi retirement, has been gently unleashed on flying 😈. He did his ironing (cunningly left for the past couple of weeks, whilst I cleared anything general, of mine and DD’s), vacuumed upstairs and allegedly dusted somewhere. He also cleaned the downstairs toilet, which only he uses as it is a horrible room, in much need of ripping out and starting again *sigh*. The upshot of “all” this extra effort on his part is that he is still in bed and out like a light, whereas I have been awake since 3am 🤣.Today’s plan is to meet an ex-work colleague of DH’s for coffee in small town (not in my plan, small town at the weekend is a nightmare, and DH loves an amble. I am do-and-march-on!), then carry on dismantling the kitchen. I’d really quite like to get to the allotment as the weeds are doing magnificently, plus I have some admin to do that is hanging over me and needs to be gone. A list then.
Kettle on, if anyone wants a second (or first, or third) cuppa x5 -
hummm…i posted
anyway i’m hurtle durkling

Hallooooo my lovelies xx
I am up, dressed, made my bed, sploshed bleach down the loo, supped 2 brews, eaten breakfast, fed the birds, been to the optician's to have my new specs adjusted as they kept slipping down my nose, been to Mr Al for the first time ever as I was passing and needed fabric softener (- so grabbed a basket and did a recce. Came out with said softener, wash pods, eggs and cereal. And now I've been once I'll be going again with a trolley next time), put the window cleaner's money through his letterbox, called to see Pops (he was out), got changed into my comfy scruffs, and I'm now having a coffee while first load is swishing.
I guess that was Round 1 then. So next is
Round 2
Read the leccy meter
Put out the rubbish and recycling
Peg out washing when finished swishing
Set load 2 swishing

That's the plan. And I'll fit lunch in there somewhere too. Fishcake sandwiches - that's what I fancy 😋
Love to all.
Congratulations to YL's DS. Well done young man 🎓 xx

IT ONLY TAKES SMALL DAILY ACTIONSFOR MAGIC TO HAPPENRosemary Ikpeme6 -
Not been too bad a day here weather wise, a mix of cloud and some sunshine.
Went into town for a few bits and the bank calling in Mr L on the way home to get bits on DD's list for tea and some fruit. She had also gone to Mr Al for a few bits including fruit so we had a mountain of stuff to fit in the fridge. Unfortunately the strawberries she bought leaked all over the table so I opened them to take out what I thought must be a couple of mushy ones to find most of the pack were mushy. I refused to pay almost £4 for something that I couldn't eat so I then had to make the trip back for a refund. That obviously worked in our favour as we had doubled up on them and may have struggled to eat them all before they went that way under normal circumstances.
Basic finances been done and shuffled money round to cover the food overspend last month. Just need to cross balance everything now.
Dinner way almost what she planned but she had given me the wrong list of ingredients so we now have some things to use up so will need to work them into a meal plan for the next week.
Have not done much else as I feel like I have had my hands in the washing up for most of the evening but the kitchen and dining room are cleaned and we had a lovely dinner with a couple of glasses of red.

bunny hutch cleaned out.
blanket border finished, just needs sewing on.
orchids watered.
nap had, probably caused by side effects. i had half planned to go swimming but dare not risk itDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
