YORKSHIRELASS said:Pigpen my office window overlooks the route most kids take to and from our local secondary school and I am horrified by how short their skirts are. The uniform skirts are pleated too which makes it worse.
DS2 has got a Batchelor of Arts with first class honours, I am a very proud Mummy. Oh and someone has driven into the back of Dads car while he was stopped at traffic lights, thankfully they are both OK but the car has been written off and I have had to sort it all out.
But the paid stuff has been OK. I have hoovered up some dog hairs and done a bit of laundry. Will have to do the packed lunch and overnight oats soon.HUGE congratulations to DS... you have every right to be proud.. Give him our fly-congrats
Glad the Papa is ok after his bump.. the car is just a thing, people are the importantI swear their bottoms are barely covered most of the time.. I may be getting old but I can't see it as anything but sexualising the young women! Twelve year olds do not need their derrieres on display. By contrast the school skirts for yrs 7 and 8 at Dots new school are awful nunty things but still ugly pleated monstrosities.. Vile things. Why can they not just be plain grey/navy and a decent length?? I know they do roll the waistband often too. My school skirt was ankle length!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)6 -
Huge congratulations to Yorkshirelass for raising such a dedicated and clever young person.
- did zumba
- had mammogram
- went to Mr A. Lots of discount stickers on fruit which was very welcome as I said I'd do a huge fruit salad for the church group dinner tomorrow so it will look very exotic with reduced mixed berries and melon selection not to mention reduced strawberries which did us for tea this evening too.
- made biscuits to take to friends tomorrow (it will be a very social day, with coffee am at friends then the dinner later)
- did some gardening, harvesting French beans like crazy, also cucumbers.
- wudupa, wiped kitchen surfaces and appliances, bit of a tidy.
- started to research NT and other places to visit as we've booked a few days in Devon for a motorbike trip in Sept. By the sound of the weather forecast, we'd be better taking an ark.....if anyone is Lynmouth way, watch out for two bedraggled bikers. Still at least we got 11% cashback and a bit more 'loyalty' when booking.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.6 -

Morning all,
Day away from work here too. Wm x1 done and hanging on the line, taking a risk, living on the edge. Another 1 load at least lined up for later. Off out shortly for a walk with a friend who I haven’t seen for ages. After that I have a list - pretty similar to the one that I had on Sunday, just a bit longer.I need to finalise tomorrow’s Mr M delivery. I have made a decision on a friend’s special birthday present, so that just needs to be sorted now. Bedding might get changed later. Plus there are still kitchen cupboards to empty. DH destroyed (deliberately and planned, I might add!) half of the kitchen yesterday. Next week the hob and cooker will go, so the fun starts then.
Welcome back @Dfw38. If you find spare guag, please share! Mine is on a long distance hike somewhere.
Well done to young Mr YL.
Right, off to get changed and find some layers to cover all weather eventualities.
Have a good day all x4 -
