Upstairs had bedding changed, bedroom dusted, bathroom s&sd, dry washing put away. Then dog walked, grass cut back and front, house hoovered through. Third of six wash loads in machine. Lots done, now sitting down for the afternoon.Spend less now, work less later.5

tried sorting some carp in my room.. failed miserably.. put 5 things in my drawers, sorted 2 baskets of clean laundry and put away a lot of the girls stuff.. binned a broken suitcase and filled half a binbag of rubbish found some clothes to take to uniform swap on Friday assuming we even get there.. it's not 'loads done' . I have no bed, no floor, no peace or tranquility.. I hate it.
I have 2 binbags of dressup for school, 3 boxes of shoes and 2 of school uniform for the charity at the other end of the street but I can't get it there. I have 18 big boxes of vinted stuff.. I hate this hoard paralysis!!!! HALP!!!!!!

Thanks for the thread Natty, sorry I’m late in.
YSL - congratulations to your young man, a shining star in the making.
Didn’t fly yesterday and it was my intention to do so on return from work this evening but ….
DH had just handed me my cuppa when the house phone rang. We went oh hello, what now, as only dad rings it. Can you come over tonight, I need you to cut my hair and stick a plaster on my head where I lumped it. What do you mean dad? well I hit it when I was using the long handled axe to chop wood. Drops everything and grabbed DH (ex paramedic) to go over, you have no idea what to expect and he plays down everything. So, not bleeding when we get there but can see where the blood has dried around it and looks like a small gash. Transpires he did it this morning but waited until I finished work to phone. In the mean time he had gone down to the doctors surgery in the village to pick up my brothers prescription, noticing the gash on his head the ‘pill person’ did not get a doctor to see him! Dad said it would probably take a month to get an appointment or he would have to sit in A&E for a few hours so chose to go about his day as usual. Who in their right mind lets an 86 year old man walk out of a dr’s surgery with a head injury and blood running down his forehead? I am livid and so upset. I know my dad is a bit of an old bogger but I worry about him. After his 2 ibuprofen he went down the pub for a couple of pints and then spent the afternoon picking and freezing runner beans. When we cleaned up the gash it was almost an inch long and he still wouldn’t go to hospital to get a stitch so we have had to patch him up and hope for the best. I told him he needs to slow down but he says he hasn’t got time. I am still crying as I don’t know what I can do to help him or get him to try and take it easier.
Needless to say no flying has been done again todayMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!6 -
Kaz.. dealing with obstreperous older parents is our punishment for being naughty teens. My mther was attacked with a knife and a wrench last year... she grabbed the knife out of the guys hand and slammed his head in the car.. he hit her about the head with the wrench and she wasn't going to go to hospital either.. the police forced her.. she had glue and staples and a bleed in her brain.. there is no stopping them! Would he maybe let you administer a couple of steri-strips?? but it boggles the mind why the chemist or drs staff would let him walk out.. madness.
I now have.. 2 binbags of dressup for school and a box of dolls. 6 binbags for CS and put away some more of my clothes.. I have 3 empty boxes!!! I also have taken all the 5-7 pjs out of twinkles drawers and filled them with 7-8 pjs! I have a few bits EC might want for the inhabitant. There has been torrential rain so the plants are happy but the cats less so!
The inhaler has been on the go many times today my breathing isn't great and the cough is a pain in ther behind.. but I don't actually feel unwell any more.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)5 -

Morning,
l thought I had steristrips but couldn’t find them before I went over, I probably threw them out in a flylady clearout as they were out of date lol. That sound horrendous what happened to your mum Piggers, glad she was ok. I have spoken to dad this morning and he is fine so have given him head injury guidance to look out for.
Am just supping another brew then I’ll be away to the paid stuff. It’s a fine morning so it will be a nice walk.Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!6 -
morning all
up at 5 am to shove a wash load in and spotted Poppy the cat behaving suspiciously. yup…mouse. despite ushering it to the back door it decided the tumble dryer was more appealing and shot under it. Back door left open in the hope it made good its escape.
Anyway wash basket now only half full. So pegging out to do before i head into work.
Hope you all have good daysDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning all. Hope it's a good one where you are. Sunshine here - good drying weather forecast until about 4pm.
Congratulations to your DS, YL, and well done to you and your DH for raising him xxx
Valli, I am imagining Bottom (complete with head) on a bike!
Sorry to those having problems with aged Ps. I shall doubtless be classed as one of those soon. I am having to look for ways to make life easier and keep my independence - eg single rather than double bed.
DD rang last night on our landline, DS1 rang while we were still chatting, so we were able to have a 3-way conversation with me holding both phones close enough together for the pair of them to hear each otherThe upshot is that DD and DGS1+2 are coming to visit tomorrow and staying over until Friday; and because DS now needs to help DDiL dismantle her stall on Thursday evening about 70 miles from here, DGD1+2 are also coming to stay the night. It will be a tight squeeze, involving shared rooms and air beds, but we'll manage and it will be lovely to have them all here together.
So this morning I woke up at 4.50 with all that going through my head. I have
- drunk 2x cuppa in bed (essential!)
- hung out WMx1 from last night
- done another WMx1 and hung out
- PUPA all round the house except DH's room (Sleeping Beauty was still in bed)
- made 2x coffee sponges and 15 scones
- WULTD
- eaten breakfast (prepped by DH), showered and dressed.
Now off to Action Heart and shopping, gotta be home by 1.00 for the gardener!

6 more binbags for CS and 1 more for the bin and half a washload.. I decided the money I may eventually get for the sales is not worth their rent.. they are set free.
I have still got no room in my room, it is still a bear pit. and I still hate it.
I did wipe the light fitting and mirror and 1/4 of the 4 pane window and half the sill..
DD2 vacuumed (the floor!! I did not vacuum her!!).. I think she likes it.. oddbod!
