Dunno, perhaps @400ixl could give their reasons for this avoidance? This phone is definitely 64bit in architecture and OS.J_B said:
Thanks, although this post says ....flaneurs_lobster said:Samsung Galaxy A34, 256 GB version, £254 at Currys (I know) with a trade in deal that I haven't checked but seems you can trade in anything with a plug...

Just to point out here, the Pixel 6a is dual sim - however the dual sim setup on it is one physical sim (as in an actual sim card) and one esim. This means that, if you wanted to run two sims on it, one would need to be an esim.J_B said:400ixl said:Personally I would avoid the Moto G and Samsung A series phones and look more at the Google Pixel A series.Had a quick look at the Pixel 6a but there's no dual sim (I currently have O2 and Lebara ones in the Moto)

O2 offer esims for pay monthly customers so you can swap that sim to an esim.
Lebara don't yet offer esims AFAIK.1 -
Sure - as @savergrant says, if your O2 sim is a contract sim then you can swap that to an esim (I'd link to some info, but the O2 site isn't playing at the moment).J_B said:tinker411 said: if you wanted to run two sims on it, one would need to be an esim.
Can I do that if I already have two physical sims (O2 & Lebara)?
It would need to be your O2 sim that's swapped as Lebara don't offer esims. The only non contract providers that officially do are (as of now) Lycamobile and Spusu.1 -

Thanks for this, I've wanted this phone for a while but my old Moto G6 is still going strong. I am seriously tempted now though at £199.

The best option in my view is to not spend too much on a phone and when updates no longer happen throw it away, £150 for a phone with two updates, or £300 for one with four updates, bearing in mind that after 3 or 4 years the battery's going to be failing as are the switches, well that's what I do anyway.
