£450 again for me please @elsiepac. It is silly season on the island where we have become an open house to friends and relatives during the summer months. Really hoping to come in for less but as we have 12 of us for a couple of days and 5 - 6 for the rest of the month it will be tight. Hoping that we will be able to live on leftovers for the end of month. Being a holiday island I always over buy as I need to be flexible as days unfold.craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

Hello all, first shop of the “month” and came in under our budget and was £39.12 so that leaves us £160.88 for the next few weeks.
As a quick run down, as well as buying fizzy water, juice and Pep*I for the other half and biscuits for mysel, I also bought unwaxed lemons and local butter to make two lemon loafs this week, one for the weekend, one for the freezer. Bought local mince and tomatoes which are going to be a slow cooker bolognese to go with jacket spuds during the week. 4 tins of Spam and 20 Birds fish fingers for stock as both had good savings on them. Also got mixed frozen broccoli and cauliflower (was 40p cheaper than just cauliflower) and extra cheese to make soup for the days I don’t have leftover slow cooker food.obc x

Can I go down for £450 please?
Family of five incl cat food and toiletries but our cupboards are heaving and our salad beds are abundant (thank you Northern Irish rain!)
We were away for 16 days of July in France eating far too rich food so I'm looking forward to getting back to basics.7 -

I'll go with €600 please @elsiepac
We're on holidays next week, Wednesday to Wednesday. Getting the ferry over to Holyhead - so much handier with smallies than dealing with airports. Plus cream tea on the boat, all going well! Will be in the Birmingham/Warwick/Chester area. If anyone has any recs for places to eat that are toddler friendly, I'd really appreciate it.
No idea about budget this month. I should be chopping a weeks worth out, but by the time we go there will literally be ketchup and jam in the fridge, and some frozen veg in the freezer. I'll be doing my tesco online shop when I'm on the boat home

So starting August early with a tesco spend of £156.00 / £450.00 my freezer and fridge are rammed full so hopefully this will last a while. Just working hard to get a meal to the table at the moment to be honest. So many children all talking at me at once all wanting different things. I love having them around but do find my ability to plan anything ahead goes down the pan when they come to visit.
