Thank again @elsiepac for the new thread.
need to do some restocking (finally run out of red kidney beans and baked beans this month, amongst other things) and the kids are off all month so will be buying extras. Our budget is for two adults and three kids that eat more than me and dogs food as she is now having combination of meat and dry food.
So I’m going for £450 for the month, £50 of that is an Asda gift card we received, so the month will only cost me £400.Please put me down for £450 for august. Thank you.

I'm balancing realism with ambition for my August challenge.
we got an amazing £1,50 box from Lidl (paid for with the skewiff July budget) - 10 peppers, a lettuce, 6 plums: 4 peaches, avocado, 2 oranges, 4 apples, 7 bananas, a punnet of mushrooms and 4 red chillies.
we were also lucky on olio today - a Waitrose seeded brown loaf, onions, carrots, pears and a Waitrose. Cherry Madeira cake.
I've decided to increase the budget this month and stick to it.
£300 for August please

That sounds a great £1.50 box you got @Blackcats; going to Lidl tomorrow so hoping I can pick up a decent one too but won't hold my breath as I never seem to get there at the right time!

Thanks to @elsiepac for the thread and for keeping my name in the monthly list although I've been absent for so long. I'm finally getting back to cooking for myself and being able to plan ahead reliably so would like to go for
£124 for 1 vegetarian adult plus £25 baking fund and £100 bulk buy fund
to run for the calendar month. Good luck to all.

Just popping in to say we've had a couple of bread purchases from the local shop, so £10.99 spent, so that's a total of £49.21 spent so far.
