You want an option to 'mark thread unread' but that's just more screen clutter that wouldn't get used much. Just click on '1 at the bottom to go to p1, then Ctrl-Home to get to the top of the page.5 -
Apologies if this point has already been raised, but the message at the top of each thread page reads "Did you know Forumites are able to edit and delete their own posts? Just hit the cog icon at the top right of your post ..."
There is no "cog icon" on my laptop screen, just three dots.
Is this another overlooked (but significant) detail or am I missing something?
And while I'm posting this - and I know others have already raised this point - why is this font in the "Leave a Comment" box so ugly? [Edit: why is it different at all? It looks untidy and random]0 -
Also the "new forum look" seems to have reintroduced a bug that appeared some time ago but was corrected. Namely that when quoting a post it was possible to get your cursor "trapped" in the quote box and it was impossible to get out.
It seems to have reappeared again. It's not a good look if you bring back faults that have previously been corrected.3 -

Two things for this morning - I’m using my phone for a change - the red dot with a plus symbol on it is very, very, very annoying. When I reply to a thread it remains over the text box and as I’m typing I can’t see what I’ve typed as it’s over the text box. There must be a better solution.Still not getting notifications of previous threads I’ve participated in that have new comments - I have to go through the convoluted click on my profile, then click on my username, then click on comments just to find those threads, then having to click into each one manually to see if there have been any updates. It’s like using a forum in the dark ages (pre-2000).
I haven’t seen any acknowledgement yet that notifications is a work in progress? (Not that I expect acknowledgment on every single issue - but it is one of the major ones) - any chance of an update from the forum team on this one?2 -

I think there are definitely some improvements in the notification process. This morning, if I follow any notification, it does at least now remove the red dot with a number after I've visited that page - which it wasn't doing yesterday.
@cymruchris - if you visit https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/profile/notifications can you not see the new posts listed there in chronological order- it's a 'per post' list like we used to get from the notification drop down.1 -

Maybe even an updated list of what's fixed - what's ongoing work in progress - and what's not going to change. The last update was the 14th of July (linked at the top of the page) but that doesn't mention the notification issue. 5 days is a long time when it comes to the internet2
