...And while I'm posting this - and I know others have already raised this point - why is this font in the "Leave a Comment" box so ugly? [Edit: why is it different at all? It looks untidy and random]This is a bit of a faff, and not really worth it because it's still not much of a contrast, but some may find it easier on the eyes:Click the double arrow top right to put the editor in full page mode:Then click the half/half circle that shows up:And the full page editor background turns black with a greyish text:You need to click the double arrow again to exit full page mode before you can actually make the post.

maman said:Thanks for the feedback on the missing cog @MSE_Stephen. I agree with the poster who asked that the feedback on progress is posted on this thread. It seems the obvious place as this is where posters are raising concerns.
We're making the changes we can and feeding back to our provider to see what changes they can be made. We'll update this thread as soon as we can.Incidentally, when I started to type your username, the predictive box sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. That's not a new issue as it happened on the previous format but it's a bug that needs addressing. This is one of many bugs we're aware of with the current text editor. There are many more that most members aren't aware of because they're only an issue if you are using a certain browser or device.
As JC mentioned in his post, we are currently using a legacy text editor which will receive no updates or fixes. This is why we tried recently to upgrade to the supported editor. There are also many features our members have been requesting that our provider has planned to implement, but we won't be able to provide them with the current editor.

One of the bugs for me on Chrome is when you type a colon the emoticon menu pops up and is *really* hard to get rid of, sometimes impossible - last night it stayed there even after posting my comment.

Sorry if the image of this is confusing but I guess that's one benefit of the different font
As to your query - it shouldn't say cog it should say 3 dots or ellipsis. Under this you should find an edit option.0 -
Okell said:Also the "new forum look" seems to have reintroduced a bug that appeared some time ago but was corrected. Namely that when quoting a post it was possible to get your cursor "trapped" in the quote box and it was impossible to get out.
It seems to have reappeared again. It's not a good look if you bring back faults that have previously been corrected.</blockquote>
at the end of the quoted text, press enter a couple of times and then you can start a new paragraph. Once you have a few characters/words in place, you can then toggle out of HTML view again if you want to go back to a more familiar setting to finish your reply.

Another bug I've noticed today: on my tablet, the first post has text about half the size (or less!) of the responses. Easy to read the comments but less easy to read the original post …

Nope - I can't get past doing 3 iterations of scrolling down a list of 10 latest threads and clicking the right-chevron to go to the next page of 10.It's just too cumbersome.0
