2. I have disabled and removed the menus (using Adblock Plus) and this has made a massive difference.
I hope that MSE don't see this as an acceptable result though. We shouldn't have to do this just to get rid of the excessive, problematic broad blank space one the right of the screen. I know they say this is in place for future use, but whatever they want it for, please put it at top or bottom to get rid of the blank space.
Will end up with a large line of continuous text to read and that can be nightmare.
The major issue is how people use it.
On a PC/laptop the best place for information (user name, post time, etc) is on the side as this fills up the blank space, but makes posts readable.
On a phone/tablet the best place for this is at the top, as edge to edge text works well on those devices.
This can be done as a forum I sometimes used adjusts depend on the device, but seems for whatever reason (money, time, skill?) MSE haven't done this, and PC/laptop user have been thrown to the wolves.
They've definitely put desktop PC users bottom of their list, if the above can be done, it should have been done.

Desktop
Mobile
It works well no matter which one you use, hopefully that can be done to this site.

However I've had my wrist slapped before when posting them, so I won't. Suffice to say that the same filters on the previous style forum still work now.Jenni x0
