The thread prior to the update has been closed. There’s a new one for any further comments. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.2 -

It does seem that the new design was made by someone that doesn't regularly use such boardsThat's the trouble. They try and "improve" things for the sake of it to try and meet some target they have, but completely forget that people need to use it too. They'll just take the comments they like and ignore any criticism.

As there wasn't any replies to those who asked about the "upgrade", I think that will answer your question.
I did wonder about the timing of "upgrade" seemed to roll out not long before standard home-time. I can understand why now.

Horrible, not much else to say1

Like others have said, it’s such a mess, simply trying to find recent posts is a nightmare. I used to log on, hit view forum (or whatever it said) and the posts would be there in latest time order. Where are they now?1

It's probably not worth commenting. MSE asked for feedback after the last changes. The result was that we were patronised and promised changes that never happened. Yes, some things were changed, but not many and certainly not enough to make it 'user friendly', as it had been.
However, I will waste my time again and comment, because it feels like the right thing to do.
So, as well as what others have already said here, half of the space on every page is taken up with unwanted and unneeded 'stuff'. For a site that doesn't like self-promotion and advertising, the whole site now looks like every other click-bait driven site, where the bits you want to see are carefully placed in the middle of stuff that the site owner wants you to see, and to click on.
All the same issues that many of us complained about with the last changes, still apply. I was tempted to list the main ones here again, but you will still have the list from last time, so what's the point?
I am brave, I am bruised
I am who I'm meant to be
I'm not scared to be seen
I make no apology
THIS IS ME!
When you talk down to others it says more about you than them.6 -
I hate it! Why change for change sake?I'm struggling and have lost motivation to engage1

purplevamp said:Not liking the new layout at all. What I'm finding annoying is when you move the cursor to the green bar at the top, even by accident, the whole menu pops out and takes over the entire page and it takes ages to disappear. And search in comps is STILL not working properly.5
