    It's one of those improvements that makes it worse.

    I get it all the time at work too.

    I don't think there are any appearance options

    May I ask - was this project driven by back-end people, with UX and front-end people side-lined? These are difficult projects to oversee, and the tension between the two camps can be difficult to manage, but from the outside this appears to be such an example

    Hi, assuming UX is "user experience" (i.e. us !), I think that is a very pertinent question.  And it nails a concern that has been growing in my mind the last couple of hours.

    It is somewhat surprising for a well-respected consumer focused organisation like MSE to have done it this way, if that is in fact the case.
