https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6445857/savings-investment-dds-and-debit-card-deposits-an-updated-list/p1T's & C's say "**a full switch means you need to transfer all active credits and debits from your old account and close it. This must include a minimum of two active Direct Debits".So DDs need setting up on old a/c first. We should qualify for this offer as the only switching offer we've had from TSB was back in 2017. We've subsequently each had 3 cashbacks from Quidco but they were for opening a/cs with no switching involved.Be warned... if you've previously had a Quidco TSB cashback for opening a TSB a/c, then when TSB eventually pay Quidco then Quidco will likely try to keep the cashback for themselves. They do this by putting a block on your Quidco a/c so that you can't see the cashback has become payable and when you contact them to unlock your a/c they will ask you to withdraw the TSB claim before they'll give you access. We finally got our 3rd TSB cashbacks from Quidco after numerous emails in which they claimed we hadn't abided by the T's & C's of their offer. After I replied to each of these proving my compliance, they unblocked my Quidco a/c. I could then see that TSB had accepted my claim and paid Quidco and the cashback had been payable immediately before Quidco blocked my a/c. So TSB had paid them and they wanted to keep the monies by getting me to cancel the claims. We''ve recently closed our TSB a/cs by switching to NatWest. We've Ulster a/cs to switch in but will need to set up DDs first.
At least I had for the last 6 months £10 each month on cashback. Thinking of upgrading to Spend & Save Plus now. It's a £3 monthly fee but they pay £5 cashback so still £44/year with next to no effort.0 -

For those that open a new account recently, did you receive any emails yet?
Open one last night and not received anything, just the page online showing the account number and sort code.
When the other half opened an account for the switch last year, they received lots of emails straight away, including one for the digital id just set up.0 -
Opened yesterday. No emails received to date.
Did screenshot confirmation screen, so I know I have an account, but I do agree that the electronic silence is strange in these current times.0 -

I want to go for this offer but need to shuffle DDs about to do so. I'm using Plum to satisfy Barclays because it requires 2 DDs to be paid per month rather than 2 independent DDs to be set up and paid. Will the same work for NW/RBS using something like Moneybox? I think so, from their T&Cs "you'll earn £4 in Rewards every month where you have two or more Direct Debits paid from your Reward account – two of these Direct Debits need to be at least £2 each".
I assume TSB require two separate DDs set up to qualify?

No good to me. It requires a banking app. I don't do apps.Any offers out there that don't require you to compromise your security?0

Oh come on, using a banking app is the least of your worries.

I phoned TSB yesterday and they constitute active direct debit as one which is set up on the account you switch in and can be either monthly, quaterly, half yearly or even yearly. So a yearly paid magazine subscription for example works.
Also asked if you can switch in to existing accounts or if upgrading to a Plus account would qualify and the answer was no. It has to be a newly opened account, even if you already have one, two, etc.
Also, Quidco seems to have tightened their cashback T&C's quite a lot with many more hoops to jump through. It clearly says it only counts now for the first account you open, so opening a second current account would not qualify anymore. Not checked TCB.1
