Can the 2 x active direct debits for the switch be from the same provider, or do they have to be different? I assume that they can be the same from t&cs.

A little more restricting than other switching offers from NatWest and first direct. Furthermore, a little put-off by the service ratings and distance between me and my nearest branch.

So signed up for a new account. Not sure if it's best to wait until I get the online banking auth code before I initiate a switch in case there is a delay.

Any idea how long these offers stay on for?

Anyone know if you can login and change the switch date or need to call up?

Tried twice applying online -as I found having to do video on the app a bit creepy - but after I click 'submit' nothing happens. It says it'll take a few minutes but I've left it for about 30 and still nothing happens

This happened to me too but trying again a second time was successful.

    hi,
i have a question on this.
the first £125 looks fairly straightforward.
however,  for the next £75,  you need to make 5 debit card payments between Sept 23 and Feb 24.
i use Chase for debit card payments because of the cashback.
however,  is there anything stopping you making small debit card payments into something like a Stocks & Shares ISA,  or SIPP accounts to ensure you qualify?
    many thanks.
  • I'm using debit card payments into building society accounts, so guess it's the same principle.

thanks.  yes, i believe the terms only state "5 debit card" payments.  i don't think it excludes what you make the payments for,  or where it goes.
think i may do this switch then.

Just to clarify for anyone new to this thread - the requirement is for five debit card payments per month from 1st September to 28th February - a total of 30 payments.  Plus the other requirements of paying-in £500 per month and having two active direct debits.
