I would try to call again, and make sure the operator is staying on the phone while you attempt to solve the tasks they tell you and let the operator also confirm that this call is recorded. I would think aloud while on the phone for each step and communicate the outcome. That way, this is recorded and you can show you have made any effort and called twice. If unsuccessful (what we expect here), I would raise straight away a complain and would ask them to log this against your profile. That way you have proof in the future that you made an effort to do as told but their IT failed while going through the steps on the phone with them.

You might get some nice compensation out of it and somebody in the background can put things right not putting you at risk of missing any deadlines.
Thanks for the advice. I'll try contacting them again. The advisor was obviously incorrect in telling me to upload the ID as an extra layer of security - you can only do it as part of the application process with a correct reference number.

Thanks again. Just spoke again to a far more helpful advisor. Nothing is wrong with my account, no further ID is required but it looks like the initial application that I got the error message on has created a second profile with them. This was actually picked up on before when I phoned about my missing debit card, I assumed it was something to do when TSB were merged with Lloyds who I also bank with.
On my request the lady advisor has added a note on my account about this and my concerns about any errors on their part jeopardising my switching bonus. So hopefully all's good.

Started the switch with TSB today and it was quite odd that there's a separate section where you get the account switch sorted. My second DD on RBS goes out tomorrow and hoping those two count. Really hoping TSB and Ulster switch bonuses go through smoothly.

Anyone know when the balance from your old account is supposed to come across? My switch day was 8th and the DD show and old account closed. Just wondering if I should call TSB or if its normal for the residual balance to take a few days.

Normally the balance comes accross on the day the switch ends.
My switch from Ulster to TSB completed this morning and the balance from Ulster is showing in TSB.

Applied successfully for a TSB ac this morning, but when attempting to register for the online banking my phone number was greyed out - checked the FAQs/help and it said it was down to me updating my tel number - even though I've only added it at application stage - is this normal and do I have to now wait for the activation code letter?

    Thanks

I checked my clearscore file and in the notification section it says TSB switch offer ends 18th August but TSB website says switch needs to be done by 31st August. Does anyone know which date is correct.

    The terms say:

It appears the offer will be withdrawn on 18/8/23 so you need to open the account by 18/8/23, and complete the switch by 31/8/23.
