My pets had puppies last year (unplanned) and I sold/rehomed the puppies.
mum and dad have papers but I did not kc reg the puppies.
one person bought a puppy and asked to pay me in installments as after committing to buy the pup they was out of work.

I trusted they would pay due to seeming like a nice family with children. Over the course of 4 months I was paid most of the money.
In March (after having the puppy for 4 months) I was asked for my bank details to make the last payment of £25 so I sent over my details (same as used for previous payments) however however a final payment of £25 was never made.
two months later I am receiving messages saying they want to pay the remaining £25 and wants kc reg papers because they want to breed the puppy and if I don’t provide the papers they will report me or wants half of what they paid back.
I don’t know where I stand with this as they still haven’t paid the agreed amount in full yet is now sending threatening and demanding messages to me for papers or a refund.
what can I do about this as I am genuinely scared of this person now as they know where I live etc
Thanks for taking the time to read/respond.

Did you advertise/sell the pups as KC registered?

I think the key here is not about the payment terms, but how the dogs were described? Were they listed as KC registered dogs?0

The parents were advertised as kc/pedigree however my advert did not state the puppies were.
I only have copies of messages to other people showing I was not registering the puppies0 -
In which case, you appear on solid ground. Ignore their threats. I suspect you'll have to write off the £25.2

To be honest as I had never heard from them for months about the remaining £25 I just assumed they were never going to pay it so I was surprised when I got the message offering to pay the £25 for the papers but then after I said there was no papers that’s when the threats came.Aylesbury_Duck said:In which case, you appear on solid ground. Report you to who for what? They sound like prize ding-dongs. If you want an easy life just ignore them, if you want to press it further remind them they owe you £25 and ask when they intend to pay it.segggy800 said:My pets had puppies last year (unplanned) and I sold/rehomed the puppies.

Thanks for taking the time to read/respond.I am just more bothered about the threatening messages and the demanding money from me. I could just always block the numbers I suppose.0 -
What would be the consequence of that? I'm asking because I genuinely don't know. Are you intending to do authorised breeding in the future? Might they blacklist you?segggy800 said:

Just block the numbers. If you get a letter before action by post, threatening to take you to court, come back for advice.1 -

I could just always block the numbers I suppose.I wouldn't worry about it, they are just making excuses so they don't pay the £25So long as they are chipped, you have nothing to worry about. You will learn to be more cautious next time.I know two people that intended to let their dogs have pups, but its a difficult road.
