I'll try again....
Hallooooo everyone xx
I hope that Pixie is not feeling too poorly piggers. Please give her a hug from me xx
I had a busy morning. Got up, showered, dressed, fed the birds, and arrived at the hairdresser's for my 10.30 appointment..... to find that I wasn't expected until 10.50! So I nipped into town to pick up my new specs and put an old pair in the cs box at the optician's. Back to the hairdresser's for wash, cut and blow dry, then called to see Pops. Nipped to Co-op....and that was my morning gone.
Trying out my new specs. The optician said that I would notice a big difference. She wasn't kidding. I can read the EPG without squinting 😆.
I suppose I ought to do something- maybe later.
Now. Let's see if this post disappears into the ether!
Live to all

Was awake at 5am as doogie was squeaking so got up to let her out and took a cuppa back to bed. DH wanted to take some stuff over to the caravan yesterday but decided to go wait until I could go with him today as it's near Mr W and he likes to mooch round there for different bits. We agreed to leave at 0930 as I needed to get back to get on with stuff. 20 to 10 he is still in the shower so I took doogie for quick walk. Come back and he is still not ready! Finally leave around 1020 and he says I need to go to Mr T first to get some batteries for the tyre pressure gauge. I was fuming as when he got them he sat in the car with a screwdriver taking it to bits to put the new ones in. Much later than anticipated we sort the caravan and the few bits of shopping needed that I almost needed a second mortgage for!
Back home DD had cleared out her office and bedroom and left a huge bowl of washing up soaking in the sink as it's been there that long, so I'll be darned if I am doing it.
I had coffee and a nap before a quick tidy of the living room.
We have had wind, sunshine and torrential rain intermittently today so I am not going out so have made DH but me a lottery ticket on line so fingers crossed for a win. DH was moaning that he was hard up earlier in the week so I transferred some money to help him out with some repair coasts on the caravan. 2 days later he orders himself a new top of the range Samsung tablet that he 'saved' over £500 on. Really! I don't care if it is 0% finance, you stated you had no money and it was more than double what you saved. He better have been lucky with that ticket and I'll forgive him.
My next task is to sort DS's birthday card and present so will get on with that in a minute.
Its hard piggers when people are grieving, you want to allow them space but then at some point they need to get back to normality and move forward. Does his employer have an employee assistance programme that might provide some bereavement counselling, I know we get very good feedback on ours. If not you might need to coax him back to present day and talk about returning to work. I hope Pixie is doing ok now, not like you didn't have enough to cope with and sounds like your schedule is crazy over the next couple of weeks.Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!6 -
Emptied LR and kitchen bins and put in new bin bags
Sploshed bleach down the loo.
I think I know what I did to lose my post earlier. When I pressed Post Comment I inadvertently also pressed the annoying red circle with a + in it. And wondered what on earth 'thread' and 'poll' meant.
Live and learn.

Hi all, blimey I go on holiday and they decide to completely change the site, it's very disorientating.
We have had a fantastic week away camping but came home a day early because strong winds and heavy rain are forecast tonight. DH wants to finish our holiday off with a takeaway curry so the healthy eating and money saving will start tomorrow.
Flying will be putting away the holiday stuff and doing a bit of laundry. The folding camper needs putting up, drying out and hoovering so we will do that tomorrow.7 -
Pixie is a little less battered today.. but super tired.Dot and Fabian are being turdsTwinkle has been to a birthday party and has come up n a rash from the wheat in the playdoh.. piriton to the rescue.Squeak has been fabulous in her musical theatre..I have achieved nothing at all and am going to be after finishing this cuppa and tomorrow I am doing nothing.. or I may do everything.. I'm not sure until I wake up.. We are not going to the outlaws.. Morning,
Have put away last nights washing up that DD said she was leaving to air dry and would put away later but obviously didn't. DH had already cleaned up the mess she left in the sink prior to dinner, she is such a lazy mare.
Have swept the kitchen floor and wiped the worktops (she didn't do that when cleaning up after dinner either) had my breakfast and a cuppa.
Very happy with DS's mug. I lifted a self drawing he did when he was about 5 from a tea towel with his name underneath and have transferred it to a mug with infusible ink so it wont come off. It looks cute but of course he will be embarrassed but it will contain money and sweets so hopefully I will be forgiven.
Sorting out pennies then will shower and dress.
Need to go to H*bbycraft for more blank cards (I messed up the only one I had left), return some of the N3xt sales order and then go and pick up DGS and take him out for lunch today.Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!7 -
Morning all xx
What strange weather! Well, strange for July. WM is swishing but I don't think the washing will be pegged out. I'm not complaining. I'd rather be wind tossed and soaked than sizzle.
I'm up, made my bed, brought down the laundry hamper, sorted washing into loads, set first load swishing, made a brew, and read a chapter of my book.
Another brew and breakfast next. Join me?

morning all
nice lazy start to the day with a coffe in bed as i’ve had to be up ‘early’ the last few days.
food for the aged ps and their visitors was a great success but i have aching ankles from being on my feet non-stop for three hours. the DS and DiL came round for a takeaway
nothing much planned for today, will iron what was almost dried yesterday and possibly peg out the load i put in. Need to return DR to usual state too. No doubt knitting will happen. And office tidyingDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear6 -
First load is pegged out and second load is swishing. I decided to risk it.
I've supped brew 2, eaten breakfast, got dressed, fed the birds and put out the recycling.
WUDUPA next
