3 hours later and the bathroom is so clean, you can see yourself everywhereSeriously that is the first deep clean since before Christmas but everything has been scrubbed and polished within an inch of its life, every cupboard and drawer cleaned out - even the first aid kit. Nothing that doesn't belong in the bathroom is in there , Ive even removed the traps and cleaned them out of gunk. All thats left to do is wash the floor and that will have to wait till tomorrow cos my back is wrecked, and the window ( velux ) which is Mr L's job as I cant reach and I dont climb up anymoreMade the bed, picked up after Mr L, vacuumed upstairs ( which is where my living room is as well ) picked up odd shoes and slippers, taken glasses and cups down to the dishwasher along with the soap dishes and shower tidiesIts been tipping down all day but Buddy is looking another walk so Im going to get wet, which is ok cos I so need a shower
I shall put the dinner on to start whilst Im out then Im going to cook the rice, give the kitchen a once over, have a shower and go to the pub!!!
I need one after that marathon8 -
Rain all day here, so great for garden.
- Managed to drag myself out for a run before rain got too heavy.
- Man came round to quote for replacing most of our 30yr old conservatory.....more than we wanted, so had a day of discussion (amicable as we can both see the pros and cons).
- Ordered tickets for autumn garden show as we had 2 days left of getting 15% discount.
- Did more of bank annual spendings so I can do tax return.
- Went through last lot of clothes and shoes which have been homeless since the new wardrobes earlier this year. All now sorted so bedroom looking better....hope to give it a good clean tomorrow and maybe even cull a few more things.
- Deleted a load more emails. How do they accumulate so fast?
- Remembered to do final pay claim for uni as I'm unlikely to be needed till autumn.
- Paid next term's drumming lessons.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.8 -
lovely meal out with my colleagues from previous job…and much amused to find colleagues from the job before that at the next table.
Pigpen perhaps suggest he looks into grief counselling…because just being off work won’t actually do him (or you, or the girls) any good. By now something positive should be happening. Not sure i’ve explained what i mean, there. He should be using the time off work positively.

Morning all,
Windy and showery here, so it is an indoor day. I have plans, but it appears that DH has other plans for me, specifically to help him move the fridge-freezer from the kitchen to the dining room in preparation for the Great Kitchen Ripout. This is happening in very annoying stages when he feels the urge - clock has gone, but not the shelves of unused glasses…maybe not his best planned GKR.
A big bag of clothes (mainly mine that I can no longer fit into 😢) left the house yesterday. More lined up (DD’s this time) for another visit next week.
Ooops, just remembered that the wm is loaded but have forgotten to switch it on. Got to walk past the kettle to get to it, so it would be rude not to have a second cuppa, if anyone cares to join me…6 -

The garden looks lovely and last week we sorted the shed.. this coming week we have Dots leavers assembly the school fair and some other school thing. the week after is the summer school for Pixie and Twinkle so he isn't sat moping, he hasn't spent a single day just sat.. he just can't stop.. that's worse.. he is inherently lazy beyond work!
Pixie was take straight to hospital from school yesterday with a non-blanching rash.. we got home just after midnight so she is still in bed.. she has a Henoch-Schönlein purpura from the infection last week which was not even serious.. She has weekly trips for BP checks and urine dips for the next 6-12 months..
I am in so much pain.. 8 hours on a hospital chair!

Morning all. Very blustery here, with spells of sunshine but also grey clouds, occasional thunder and lightning, and brief but torrential downpours. Rosie hates it, but it's due to continue until late evening, and I doubt that she will allow me to take her for a walk.
I feel wrung out after a hectic week and am finding it hard to concentrate on anything of any great importance. So far today I have loaded the DW, S&S'd the kitchen, showered and dressed, PUPA all round, including FUPA clean washing, and watered and fed the houseplants. I just don't have the energy to do any other cleaning, and I'm certainly not going to try to do gardening with the weather as it is! I might manage to make phonecalls to 3 of the Old Wives and write a short letter, or even clean the leather books that have been waiting for over a year. I also need to pick a sunny moment to transfer K's sofa cushion and two bags of books for the CS from the DR to my car. Now that DH has emerged from his bedroom, I am expecting to be kept supplied with tea and coffee (trying to outdo Fayolle), and I shall cook jacket potatoes for lunch and chicken-and-bacon risotto for tea - tasty and easy. That's quite enough plans for today!
Sorry to hear about Twinkle's rash, and hope you regain some feeling quickly in the numb part of your anatomy, pigpen xx
Oh look, a mug of coffee has mysteriously appeared on my desk...6 -

Well that's annoying.
🤷♀️
Why didn't that happen the first time? I'm now wondering if my post is lost or somewhere unexpected. 🤔IT ONLY TAKES SMALL DAILY ACTIONSFOR MAGIC TO HAPPENRosemary Ikpeme3 -
Ha, ha, ha I’ll let you know if I see your post, Round 🤣x Hah, that will teach me - hit something by accident and deleted a paragraph!
Wm x 1 done, hung on airer in front of slightly open DR patio doors and drying nicely. Why have I never done this before? Dw x1 run and emptied. FF emptied, moved, cleaned inside and out (including the top *shudder*). Bathrooms s&s (thank you, Iona, for the push). Lunch done. Now I intend to shut myself in the back bedroom and maybe do some sewing. It is sunny and very windy here, so I am using the wind as the excuse for not going outside.6
