Hopefully it will balance out next week Ginger 🙂
-2lb loss for me this week 🙂 and I've managed to to hit my small target this quarter, hopefully I'll manage a couple more before the endLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin2 -
1/2lb gain this week - had friends staying so not too bad. I haven't managed daily yoga or workouts, in case I disturbed people, but have done some exercise most days. I also had trouble sleeping which doesn't help with energy and motivation.
Back to it this week!
@Brambling yay target hit!1 -
What's everyone planning to eat this week? I've got nice 'kearned' yogurt (on offer) and fruit for breakfasts, homemade carrot and lentil soup for lunch then calorie counted meals for the evening. Fruit for snacks and a 2ltr bottle of squash in the fridge to drink throughout the day. Hopefully healthy and filling!1

STS For me. Well done on hitting target Brambling.
Had been sowing a loss all week, then Mr Pepper brought disease into the house, and I now have a stinking head cold, I have had "feeling sorry for myself, chocolate and Coke", I will live,
@Pixie_Cosmo, the soup sounds very nice, I'm on 2 litre of squash per day, I'm going to try to increase this. Fruit has been a bit of a hit and miss for me, went to Aldi and bought strawberries, they were rank, same as the pears I bought from M&S, it appears to be potluck for quality.
Need to pull finger out and get to my target by month end, as the new quarter will give me 9 weeks before I go away, aiming for 7/8 LB, just need to stay out of the ice cream draw in the freezer, a sore throat is not a reason to indulge.MFW - 01.10.21 £63761 01.10.22 £50962 01.10.23 £39979 01.10.24 £27815. 01.01.25. £17538

Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin2 -
Thanks to a very good last minute crop of tomatoes I have 10 portions of tomato soup in the freezer for lunches when it gets a bit cooler, still too warm in the south for lunch time soup
I've stocked up the fridge with fruit and veg in the hope of a healthy week, like you Jenny I've found that a lot of the 'summer' fruit isn't great at the moment, i picked up what will probably be the last lot of nectarines they are very nice still (probably the advantage of waitrose!) but are getting too expensive now so back to more wintery fruit. I cooked some lamb yesterday so there will be left overs for a few day
Hope everyone has a good week just 2 more weeks to end of the quarter, I not sure who stole 2023!Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin2 -
@Brambling
I had meant to report the other day that I was down another half pound but didn't get round to it prior to travelling to Canada. And on the day I travelled I got food poisoning so I suspect i may be down a little further. Now normally I wouldn't report a 1/2 pound loss as my scales are not that reliable and so I doubt their accuracy. But as I've stated in the past I know that if they show a downward trend then that's likely to be true even if the actual numbers are not right.
so down 1/2 please. And I'll be weighing in again next quarter so will see how well I do. (3rd day here and haven't had the stomach yet for butter tarts so that's a big help. Plus Bro with whom I'm staying is teetotal which we try to respect and he's got health issues so cooks amazing low calorie meals too)

Enjoy you visit back 'home' Brie 🙂
It was a STS for me this week but if i don't stop eating like I have today it's not going to be pretty next weekLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin2 -
2lbs down this week @Brambling! On my partner's scales so not as accurate as mine, my scales are meaner to me 🤣👍
I haven't managed so much walking and running this week. The weather has been awful here most days, plus I've had a couple of bad nights' sleep. I have managed daily yoga and a couple of 20/25min weight and cardio workouts. My legs ache though 🤣 I'm trying to be strict on calories, plenty of fruit and veg and at least 2ltrs of squash/water daily. No booze on a work night. Hard work, but the only thing that works for me.
I've got two weeks until we go on our autumn holiday and hoping to get another couple of lbs down before we go. We'll be doing a lot of walking so getting fitter and stronger will help.
@jennystarpepper the soup is ok, but I need a wider variety of soups. I love the He1nz lentil soup but it's so expensive now to buy tinned soup. I used to get a load of tins when on offer (8 for £5 or something) and a couple of own brand soups which were perfect for taking into the office. Much cheaper and healthier to make it though! I just don't have the freezer space to cook up a variety, plus have room for frozen dinners, so I do one soup 'flavour' a week.
Hope everyone has a good week and resists the 'brrr munchies' x1
