For anyone thinking of trying Kroo bank

so today i have opened a Kroo account (via MSE) to take advantage of 4.1% easy access (from Monday), and also £10 Amazon Voiucher.
however, i must admit i am finding this app very confusing.
took me a while to figure out how to receive money, and how to set up myself as a payee.
but what is more concerning is it has pulled contacts from my phone book (anyone who has a Kroo account already), but, i don't want these in my payee contact list and have no idea how to get rid of them.
i am thinking the effort involved with this app, might mean it is not worth keeping, and maybe close it.
anyone else got any thoughts? and how to get rid of the contacts i don't want?

Chip all the way, simple set up and better rate.1

It's really not that confusing, you can ignore the contacts list. You just need the sort code and account number to receive money, and you get an instant notification when a transfer is received.
For those thinking of signing up, there's £15 cashback via Topcashback and there's a £10 referral scheme for Topcashback itself if you've not used them before.1 -
That what Kroo is for, group payments. If you order Uber eats at work every week and everyone needs to pay each other. Stuff like that.0

I haven't found it confusing - it's not so different than other banking apps. I never give apps permissions I don't need them to have, for example access to my contacts, so haven't experienced this issue. Perhaps if you remove that permission from the Kroo app it will get rid of the feature.

i think issue is i gave it permission when setting up without realising. despite me removing the permission, the contacts are still there.
my worry is if that it might be easy to accidentally pay someone else in error. i know its just about being careful, but usually my payees list is just people who i'd regularly pay. not a load of randoms from my phone book.
by sounds of it, maybe this just ain't for me. i might go with Newcastle at 4.3% instead, and forget about the £10 Amazon voucher.0 -

It's all really obvious once you realise that they have chosen to call the list of payees "Kroo" instead of "payees" or similar. A somewhat naff decision on their part but I guess they were hooked on the whole Kroo/crew thing when they designed it.0 -

Have you tried clearing the App's data (or uninstalling) and setting it up afresh?
