We recommend you wait till your deadline day next Tuesday. It is in your interests.
Remove all this below (yes I know the bottom sections are from the template but remove them in your case) and instead add in paras 5-11 copied from @Johny86 and re-number it all and then WAIT - and read the forum every day - because the Government is due to publish an update that we think will assist defences and the Template Defence wording will change:The intention was not to overstay and had this been realised at the time the establishment would have been notified and this may not even have become an issue – now this feels as though it has been blown out of all proportion and is causing stress, anxiety and extreme worry as this is an awful situation to be in
Once the car park has been driven into this constitutes an agreement whether you notice or even see the signs, not helpful or very fair.
Having been a faithful customer of McDonalds over the years (having 2 children and cannot even estimate the amount of money spent there in school, holidays, weekends and days out not to mention birthday parties) and this is how a well know company treats it’s customers on the one occasion a slight overstay of the designated time allowed to eat, drink and socialise occurs.
I also do not agree with my details being given out by DVLA to any company for a minimal fee – is this even acceptable under GDPR? I have written to them asking not to provide my personal information to any request unless it is from the police or a council which I believe I cannot object to.
4. The facts in this defence come from the Defendant's own knowledge and honest belief. To pre-empt the usual template responses from this serial litigator: the court process is outside of the Defendant's life experience and they cannot be criticised for using, in part, pre-written wording suggested by a reliable online help resource. The Claimant is urged not to patronise the Defendant with (ironically template) unfounded accusations of not understanding their defence.
5. With regard to template statements, the Defendant observes after researching other parking claims, that the Particulars of Claim ('POC') set out a cut-and-paste incoherent statement of case. In breach of the pre-action protocol for 'Debt' Claims, no copy of the contract (sign) accompanied any Letter of Claim. The POC is sparse on facts and specific breach allegations, which makes it difficult to respond in depth at this time; however this claim is unfair, generic and inflated.

I'm hoping this is going to be a good thing, not just for myself but for lots of other people in similar situations. @Johny86 is a link to his Profile (click it), then scroll to the bottom of that page to find a further link to his 'Threads', then click the UKPC thread to open that. Scroll through that thread to near the end, where you will find v3 of his defence. Use that final version only, not earlier drafts. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Your priority now is to make sure you submit your Defence to the CCBC on time - and receive an almost immediate auto-reply confirming receipt. If you're going to leave it until tomorrow, then I'd suggest doing it no later than 3pm, giving you an hour (should you not receive the auto-reply) to resubmit using a different email address and/or a different browser, as sometimes certain ones can cause receipt issues at the CCBC.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. That defence statement is more like War and Peace. You are defending the particulars of claim (PoC) from an intellectually malnourished DCB Legal. The PoC will be woefully inadequate, ambiguous and signed by Yasmin Mia. Why are you giving such detailed waffle when all you need to answer is their PoC?
Anyway, as noted above, no need to rush this as you are waiting for the IA from the DLUHC to be announced this week which will give some more ammunition to use against the scammers.
As you are struggling to figure out how to find the johny86 defence, I provide a link to an example of it here so you have an idea of how to format your defence:

Thank you very much for all the above - defence changed as directed and as per the link above provided which I am very grateful for I have now submitted and received an acknowledgement by return e-mail. I'm going to continue to monitor the forum as the government could publish an update anytime soon which I am really hoping will help me and countless other people in the same boat. It is scary as I do not fully understand what I'm doing but with all the assistance I've received on here seem to be on the right track. I do hope this will turn out to be in my favour and the scamming lowlife so called private parking companies get their comeuppance real soon - thank you ALL again. #candonomorenowright?2

Hello all - it's been some time now and I have received confirmation from the court that my defence has been received and passed onto the claimant. DCBL have said their client wants to proceed and included a copy of the direct questions? If I want to settle to call them (not a chance) which I think is rich seeing as they probably won't even answer the phone if I did call (which I most definitely will not be doing) is this usual? can you tell me what usually happens next as I have heard nothing since end of July and just want this awful situation to be over. I dread post dropping through my door and am relieved each day when there isn't any :-( :-( Thank you anyone who can reply with anything positive for me - fingers crossed I will hear real soon this is over!!!0
