MoneySavingsExpert recommended Car Hire Insurance Excess Cover

Just a word of warning about the Leisure Guard Product. I purchased it thought this site for a weeks trip at the end of May. When I returned the hire car, I was informed that a plastic clip under the car had been broken and that there was a scuff on the bottom egde of a sill.

Fine I thought, I'm covered.

Got home and tried to make a claim using the online portal that's listed on the insurance certificate. I entered the Policy number only for it to state - policy not recognised. So I emailed all the particulars to the email address on the certificate - but after waiting a month I still haven't had a reply.

Today I've rung the number on the certificate to be told that the policy number isn't their's, but that I should try Axa.

Rang Axa to be told that I should try a different number. I have since been waiting for a hour for someone to answer the phone....

Have you called Leisure Guard directly using the number on their website?
I know you called the number on your policy, but I wondered if you have tried calling them directly to ask about this?

01293 855 960 is their number from their site from here: https://www.leisureguardtravelinsurance.com

Also, have you tried contacting them on social media?

    Hi heatherw_01,

    thanks for your reply.

I phoned the number that you suggested and went through the options.

When selecting the claims option a message is played stating that all claims have to be sent by email (to the address that I sent my claim to a month ago) and the call then terminated.

I'm still trying the axa assist number that I was given, but this just goes to "sorry to keep you waiting...." and is never answered.

When you say social media, which platform would you suggest? I'm not on social media, but may have to join if it's the only way to resolve this.

    Thanks

I wouldn't mind if it was just poor, but this is non-existent - well it might as well be....
