Sorry for your losses @pigpen and @ Jazee
Spent far too long online this morning doing stuff for Mr L, he thinks it all takes seconds, it never does. Back online now cos mums phone wont update so I said have my old one, only Ive forgotten the passcode and I cant crack it till it updates - and its taking hoursThe bare minimum has been done here today, bed made, towels and shoes picked up from the floor and put away, a wash put on - still in the machine cos it decided to tip down, but the good news is, the kitchen counters are cleared and I got the cupboard doors wiped down along with the fridge, washing machine etc. Oh and coffee machine and kettle descaled and cleanedBig job for Saturday is the bathroom. It needs a good going over - a seriously good going over with cupboards tipped out and all the tiles done. Ive been keeping the loo, sink and shower tray sanitary but the rest , well Id rather not let a stranger in to use it. I wont have time tomorrow as have to run into the next town - for Mr L - and that means decent clothes, doing the hair etc add that to the time away and Ill not get stuck inWill also be dropping of my crochet for preemies and returning a pair of so called waterproof boots - my feet were soaked walking the dog this morning8 -
morning all. up early because we’ve a meeting at 8:30. My alarm was going off for 4 minutes before i heard it and woke up! So i’m just doing my vertical half hour.
WUALTD last night so kitchen ok, WM x 1. Washing up was plastics - i don’t put them in the DW so the pots can sit and fester for another day. I shall strip my bed shortly and get another wash onDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning all xx
That's me finished with the paid stuff until 11th July. Woot woot. Still up at work o'clock so having a leisurely brew in my nightie. My bed is made.
A few plans made for the week: optician's appointment Tuesday morning , meeting L at posh farm cafe shop on Thursday morning, meet up with H not arranged yet, and I'll drop in on Pops at some point. The rest of the time is mine...and I hope to do some flying and some decluttering. Now that I can actually open the door to the Cupboard of Doom I'll be nibbling at the contents 😊
Time for a second brew methinks.

Hello all. Ooh, enjoy your leave Round.
Today I have done one nightmare work shift, dailies, two wash loads which are on line despite a few drops of rain, walked Poppet, popped to library, done monthly accounts. All looking ok, fingers crossed the car service doesn't cost too much today.Spend less now, work less later.6 -
I have been introduced to Avery design and print online and I now know how to make the labels from a spreadsheet.

pigpen said:his mother is being cremated tomorrow.. if you would like to join us in lighting a candle and/or raising a glass and sending her on her way at 8pm
DS2 has been collected from his student house with all his belongings shoe-horned into our car. Tomorrow we make the journey back to Leeds to move him into his "young professionals" flat as Uni life ends and he starts his first proper job as a Finance Officer. I booked the day off as holiday so have had a quick look at the work phone but I am not doing any more than that. It's so lovely to have him home even if it's just 24 hours.
Have done some home admin, done a load of washing and almost got it dry before the rain, and have a bit of a tidy around. Oh and I submitted the leccy meter reading too before the rates change.
Might be time for a cuppa and my book for an hour or so, DS and DH are watching cricket.
Welcome Lianne! x8 -
Thank you Jazee xx
I've treated myself to a read a book day- I'm rereading Jane Eyre. I fed the birds and put out the recycling. But that's all.
Had a few busy weeks at work so good to have a me day to deflate. Wrong word but I can't think what the word is. 🤔
Thinking about you piggers and family. I will raise a glass to mil later xxx

Morning xx
So much for my idea of starting a new regime on the first of the month and getting up at 6.30 and cracking on with things. I woke up at 8! And I'm still in my nightie- just eaten breakfast and I'm enjoying my second brew.
I have made my bed. And read more of Jane Eyre.
