Yorkshire Building Society new website nightmare

A couple of days ago, the Yorkshire Building Society changed their website. As often seems to happen, there was nothing wrong with the old one, but no doubt someone thought it was a good idea.
Anyway, the new website has no functionality that allows you to amend a direct debit into an account. Or indeed to create a new DD. This was always really straightforward on the old website. I called yesterday and was told that they were still ironing out some issues and hopefully it would be fixed soon.
This seems like a pretty basic error on their part. Is anyone else having the same/similar problem?

There's not many on here that could create a DD inbound unless they had a specific legacy ac. so you poss won't get many replies - maybe other than 'I've never been able to..'.
I have the legacy ac and, you're right, the option doesn't appear on it ATM.
I hope that doesn't mean they're removing the facility.1 -

I research before my posts, and I never intend to share anything that is misleading, misinforming, or out of date, but don't rely on everything you read. Some of the information changes quickly, is my own opinion or may be incorrect. Well, it's kind of encouraging that the functionality isn't there to amend/cancel existing DDs.. because they'd definitely have to give notice of that. So some corrective action must be in the pipeline.0

Annoyingly they seem to have closed the technical loophole that allows you to withdraw money from the One Day Account online by setting up a regular payment on the account. I have some interest that has been credited to the account today so I will have to visit a branch to withdraw it by the looks of things.1

Hmm, the faq’s don’t look promising either. Although I don’t know what they said previously, I could certainly setup DD’s on a legacy account.

That policy you quote is for 'outbound' DDs - ie from YBS to another bank, and is therefore correct. For 'inbound' DDs you set them up and amend them at the 'inbound' bank, in this case YBS. It's this functionality that has gone missing,3

I also couldn’t amend my “work number” under contact details, although I suspect that was due to the fact I was on iPad, it wanted to suggest a strong password instead of letting me edit the numbers. So had to suggest my own….0

Still impossible to log in, either via the website or the app. And they don't even own up to it by letting customers know.1
