How many from Santa, how many from you?

We decided last year that we didn't want Santa getting all the credit for the presents and started doing one pile of presents from Santa and one from us!

What does everyone else do? Do you do more from Santa then yourselves or the other way round.

I was thinking of maybe doing 2 or 3 big pressies from Santa and the rest from us!

PS - I can't decide whether the High School Musical Wii game is going to be from Santa or not as I had such a hard time finding it, I might wanna take some credit:rotfl:

I agree! when my kids still believed in Santa, I felt the same way. We have worked hard for those presents, no way Santa is taking all the credit ;)

We used to do half and half, I would make the Wii game from yourself!!
  • This used to confuse me when I was a kid. In my family we got a stocking from Santa, full of little things, and then bigger presents from parents and family. I didn't understand why my best friend got a doll from Santa when I only got little things, my mum told me it was because her parents only bought her little things and then her big things came from Santa (and then not long afterwards I sussed the truth!!).

If I had kids that's what I'd do. It gets even more confusing when you have a complicated family like mine as my (half) sister's mum was into Santa giving everything. I didn't realise this and confused my sister by giving her a present myself!

  • For my DD everything is from the person its from, they have sent it to Santa for her, Santa pretty much just delivers it all.

Stocking from Santa with small gifts in (like a kids party bag) usually up to a value of about £15 per child. One big gift, plus a selection box and an annual from us under the tree. Presents from friends and relatives all under the tree.

  • I think I've let Father Christmas be far too generous over the years!!!

Time for me to take some credit this year I reckon!!!:p
  • Santa brings books for everyone in our family, I told my kids when they were little that when a mummy has a baby she writes a letter to father christmas telling him what she would like him to bring her children, that's why other children get different things from him!!
