I sooooooooooo know how you feel. Have also been doing hateful job, undervalued, unappreciated and unloved all year just for the need of money. Debts all paid this xmas, so have taken today off 'sick', have had a lovely rest and cleaned the house. Will resign after xmas. Stuff them!! :j0

I can't wait to break up Xmas Eve. As a postie it has been absoute mayhem the last few weeks, 9-10hour shifts without a break. Without going on the job ain't what it used to be. Was thinking of leaving in January, but we are having a shake up of all the rounds in our office & mine will be alot better(i have one of the longest rounds on our division at the moment). I guess every job has pluses & minuses & i don't think i could go to a job where i would be stuck in rush hour traffic for a couple of hours a day. Have to work my day off as overtime at the moment to because of our debts so that doesn't help the way i feel about the job. In July we will have finished paying a loan making us £100 a month better off so i may work 2 of my days off a month & have the other 2 off.Debt at LBM(July 1st 07)-£35,053.92 Debt on 1st Anniversary of LBM(July 1st 08)-£33,170.11 (31st January 09)-£32,318.73Paid off so far £2,735.19(7.8%) Average paid off p.m. £143.95 L/H supporter 115 DFD target February 2018 DFD March 2028. I'm absolutely knackered. I'm on my last shift as a debt advisor and lines close at 8pm tonight. I've personally taken nearly 5000 calls about debt in the last year. My brain hurts. No doubt I'll get bored of turkey and repeats on telly and be back snooping around these boards again. Glad I'm not the only one who's tired.0

I am Shattered with a capital S. Hoping to be able to ease off a bit in 2008 though.
Hope everyone manages to get some rest over Christmas xxSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
I love my job, and the winter, but even I have had enough! Just doing a voluntary shift tomorrow, and I'm free for two weeks-main project over the holidays is to try to catch up on some sleep...and maybe kiss someone under the mistletoe0

Have to admit that I've got the DVD of 'The Great escape' - just in case one of the tv channels forgets to show it this year. Why should I be the only one to suffer?I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Yep I agree, the last 4 months I've been here have been a complete culture shock, so although I'm not working at the min, uni auf deutsch is more than enough to keep me occupied (and knackered).
I go home tomorrow for a week, gotta clean the flat tomorrow morning, pack and then a week of doing nothing, apart from getting fat and watching crap Christmas television....never thought I'd say it but I'm really looking fwd to it!...I like my coffee black, just like my metal!

Totally shattered. Feel like I've done nothing but work, shop, wrap, and make cards for the last six weeks. I've barely had a chance to look at my compter - let alone come on here. I feel physically sick at the thought of wrapping any more presents...and now I seem to be developing a cough. Roll on boxing day when life will be my own again (for a couple of days at least).1st April 2008 challenge:mad: xmas overspend = [strike]£254.05[/strike] £0:j......cc1 = [strike]£240.78[/strike] £0:j .......cc2 = [strike]£667.47[/strike] £0 :j ...amount owed to ISA = [strike]£1599.90[/strike] £0:jTOTAL TO GO = [strike]£2762.20[/strike] £0 !!! DONE IT DONE IT DONE IT!!!:dance:0
