I feel like I've worked my bottom off all year in a job I hate (really truly hate) and now that the end is in sight, the debts are almost gone and the I'm a month away from leaving this 'orrible job... I am SHATTERED!
Does anyone else feel like they need a month in bed at the moment?! I wish I was feeling all festive and joyous for Christmas, but I need a few good nights sleep first

Oh yes yes yes!!! I've started a new job in the past 3 months which is only 25 mins cycling from home, but for the rest of the year I was commuting 6 hours a day to a job where I was unappreciated and bored senseless - still, it paid the bills and not much else.
Now, 3 months on and I'm tired all the time and genuinely think it's just the 20 months of doing the daily commuting grind that I'm still trying to get the tiredness out of my system.
Last day of work today until the 27th (so my longest break from work since last Xmas) and I really can't wait. There's a warm hot bath at home with my name on it tonight.Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -

There's nothing quite as relaxing and wonderful as a warm hot bath is there? Cures all my ills!
Six hours a day is a horrendous commute - and to think I thought mine was bad (at between 2.5/3hours a day)! Come February I'll be working from home - less money, but now I don't need it so badly I'm really not that bothered
Hope you enjoy your time off this Christmas though, it sounds like you deserve every second of it!Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts!

Yes, I'm absolutly dead on my feet. Doesn't help that OH is ill and keeps me awake, but I've had to shop for other people for everyone else this year aswell as my own. No thanks whatsoever (see my thread in the jobs forum) from my job, and I'm piled with more and more work that just isn't going to get done or kept on top of.0

Sounds like you need a holiday - pay for it with your credit card, or take out a bank loan."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0 -

Crikey, I didn't even notice there was a jobs forum. I may have to get over there forthwith!!
I hope things improve a bit for you over Christmas, sounds like you need a nice long bath as well (and a stiff glass of gin!)Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts!

I do certainly, this is the year ive put my head down and sorted my self out. Got 3 months left on big loan and 2 credit cards will be paid off by april leaving just 1. I'm self employed and the stress of debt has actually pushed me to work harder and in turn ive got more efficient so maybe its all done me a favour. Ive paid 15k in the last 12 months so havnt had a penny for myself, been out a couple of times all year, not bought any clothes except for a few essentials from asda and basically lived a pretty rubbish life. In desperate need of a holiday so will be doing something this year even if just a weekend in Prague or something with the boys.0
