E.ON Next - Next Loyalty Fixed v4

Hi
Anybody struggling to sign in online on a laptop or PC I've just managed to login using my mobile. Looking at my quote it seem to suggest the exit fees are applicable if you switch to their SVR from this fix.

That said, I cannot see the Ofgem price cap dropping below the V4 fix rates in the next 12 months.Cornwall insights were forecasting another drop in gas - in Q4 - mid May - to 6.7p - so c10% - but back to 7.08p - so still several percent. But both electric Q4 Q1 and Q1 gas going back up - their forecast cap numbers - Q4 £1975 and Q1 £2045 (but they predicted £20 less than Ofgem for JUly 1 theen too)EditBeen pointed out to me those CI figures are now out of data - and the current next 2 pricing forecast snapshots are lower - see"Current predictions: calculated from market closing prices on 12 June 2023
Figure 1: Cornwall Insight’s Default tariff cap forecasts including VAT (dual fuel, direct debit customer, national average figures)
QUARTERLY Q4 2023 (Oct-Dec) Forecast Q1 2024 (Jan-Mar) Forecast Electricity £1,032.99 £1,007.47 Gas £899.60 £936.40 TOTAL £1,932.59 £1,943.87 Figure 2: Default Tariff Price cap forecasts, Per Unit Cost and Standing Charge including VAT (dual fuel, direct debit customer, national average figures)
Electricity Q423 Forecast Q124 Forecast Standing Charge (£/day) 0.53 0.53 Per Unit Costs (p/kWh) 28.95 28.12 Gas Q423 Forecast Q124 Forecast Standing Charge (£/day) 0.29 0.29 Per Unit Costs (p/kWh) 6.60 6.92 That Q1 number c£100 less than the May figure linked above - about £77 of it electric - assuming it is calculated the same way etc.Edit EndAnd obviously that still leaves any current fix covering Q2 2024 - which I haven't seen their estimate for.I don't see people losing a lot on these deals - and for many - peace of mind after last year - will swing it for many.Edit - "The new snapshots above I guess might suggest there might be a few more percent to come if fixes are using similar information."( And better than the often premium rate fixes in the past - where 2 yr fixes especially - often charged more than current SVT rates at big 6 - BG, SP etc)Maybe V4 a reaction to others coming on board with new fixes (saw a post re Octopus fix the other day)

Like the disciple (doubting) Thomas, I like to do my own research. No disrespect to @oldagetraveller1, but I also asked E.ON Next and received the following response in 7 minutes!
Hi RG2015,

No, moving between tariffs with us is free of charge,
Feel free to get in touch if you have any further queries,

Hi,
I have just taken out a 1 year fixed rate deal, Next Loyalty Fixed v4. I notice that there would be an exit fee of £75 to change to a different supplier before the tariff end date.
However, would I incur any fee if I wished to switch to another E.ON Next tariff before the end date?
Kind regards,
RG2015

One reason is that it is more expensive per house/flat in rural areas compared with high population city locations. Hence the daily standing charge which covers the supply network costs will tend to be lower in cities.
In addition, these regions are served by different companies. Long gone are the days of one national energy supplier.1 -

Whereas another MSEr I believe posted that Octopus have said their fee applies even for internal switches.
Its an important distinction, which is why the questions have been being asked in this v4 post and other EOn legacy version posts.3
