You need to have had a fixed term contract some time during 2023.
That's interesting. I wonder if this is a small gesture to those who made what appeared to be a sensible decision to overpay on a fix around this time last summer in order to avoid higher charges later, only to find they'd have been better off doing nothing as the government stepped in and those who'd stayed on the SVR ended up better off.

Anyone else got a problem logging in.
I've had continual problems for the past week or two but it usually works eventually if you keep trying.

I'm also having problems. Great timing.

    Cheers

I’ve just locked in this v4 Fixed. For me it’s a nice balance of price and security. If prices end up being cheaper than this in Q4 2023 & Q1 2024 I’d be amazed it it was by much.

For reference I am currently on a fixed tariff with Eon which likely explains why I have this offer.

I'm was on E.on Next Flex Variable, have a smart meter and got an email this morning offering the Loyalty V4.
Reasonable saving on the standing charges for both fuels and a very small saving on the unit rate.
Summary box says £75 for each fuel to change supplier but the 'more info' bit says £75 to exit tariff early.

Have switched - took about a second! :)

Edit - I was on an E.on fix earlier this year which seems to be why I was offered V4 looking at the comments here.
Do Money Saving sites make you buy more bargains - and spend more money?

That would make sense as I cam off a fix on on 30 March.

Your username brings back memories as I was brought up in Palmers Green. Left in the summer of 69, but I am not Bryan Adams  :)

Possibly, but mine was a 2 year electricity fix and up until March 2023 I was on 16.7p / kWh.

We came off a fix in July, just looked on line and we're being offered V4 too.

Will chew it over and give it some thought.

Would only save us about £60 (against July cap rates) a year.   hmmm

How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)

I came off a fix with eon next in sept 22 and Ive been offered the new fix v4.
Also worth noting that in the small print it does say £75 exit fee per fuel  for ending fixed rate early.
Just umming and ahhing as to what to do!

Aren't Cornwall insights predicting Q3 and Q4 be lower still?  2024?  Too far ahead to make a stab
