Same position here, on a fix with Eon until July but wanting to switch to Octopus.
Thought you could change tariffs to the SVT without penalty and then change suppliers?0 -

I believe E On Next have now amended the wording so that newer fixes have an exit fee if you change supplier or product.0 -
This what mine says in there email to me. Nothing about internal changing to SVT only supplier.Next Loyalty Fixed v4.
This tariff comes with 100% renewable electricity and your prices are fixed for 12 months. You'll need to manage your account online - you also agree to have a smart meter installed where eligible. An exit fee of £75 per fuel will be applied if you change supplier before your tariff end date. Remember, paying by Direct Debit gives you cheaper prices than if you pay when you receive your bill.Your tariff info.

gefnewHow's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0 -
That's how I would interpret it, otherwise being able to revert to the SVT and then leaving without penalty would make the whole point of putting an exit fee on the tariff fairly pointless.1
-
If you revert to SVT with eon you are not changing supplier just the tariff.0

Yes thats what we want to know.0

I keep wondering if E.ON Next might be the next supplier to offer their own versions of Octopus's TOU tariffs like Tracker and Agile - reason being that they have had Kraken for a while now so that is now bedded in and fully operational, whereas a couple of other major suppliers are still in the switchover process.0

The real question is what the price cap will do in January and April. The Loyalty fix would have expired in late June.
So here’s hoping that the price cap doesn’t surge for the first half of next year.
Needless to say I will be claiming this back asap!
I've just been crunching the numbers and have decided to move from Loyalty V4 to Pledge V3, mid contract.
Although it had been wrong since we switched 😉How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)2
