Same with mine... account went to £150 debit..no other indication...same with refund..brewerdave said:The only way that I could see that the fee had been deducted ,was in the app on the "bills and payments" page , the account balance is £100 less than it was. Doesn't show up anywhere else as far as I can see, on the app or the full web page of the account.0 -
Only got the app yesterday. Have never seen balance before. My balance on it is exactly what my credit was on last bill plus the direct debit payments made since. hmm0

Looks like leaving without the exit fee as now been stopped or blocked , I am happy for those that managed to exit into SVT without the fees , sad it as been stopped for others
looks like some companies are not charging exit fees whilst EDF will continue for now to charge it

EDF only raise two bills per year , the balance is basically the balance from your last bill plus any direct debits you have paid , the balance isn’t smart enough to deduct your daily , weekly or monthly usage , so until the next bill is raised it will continue to rise by the amount of DD you pay each month , then when your next bill is raised it will deduct the usage from the balance , so it’s not a true balance of your usage and payments at any given pointjvjack said:Only got the app yesterday. ahh , so my balance adding it all up means nothing has been deducted since my change to SVR on Wednesday 5th. There's hope. But maybe bill in Sept shows different. Another whatsapp chat underway.
thanks stevecooper , you should have one of those "buy me a coffee" links. lol 6k plus views.0 -
EDF in whatsapp have confirmed that " exit fee of total £300 has been reversed in your account."
It was added on 5th july day of change to SVR then taken off on 6th.
So thats customer service agents in whatsapp confirming the exit fees have been reversed. EDF maybe have relaxed the exit fee thing ; but get confirmation first.

You may be interested to know that my EDF standing order is on an exact monthly basis, so obviously I never pay for more than I have used in the previous month. This is available to everyone, but for some reason it's not widely known or advertised!SteveCooper said:
