So I've had a response from the Facilities Manager for Slough Retail Park, asking to phone them or provide a phone number to discuss things further.

Wise to take this to the phone or try and keep things via email?
I'd open things up with a phone call (you're not speaking to a PPC after all, and it's an offer the retail park manager is making to you). After speaking, you may want to record your understanding of any agreement made with him in writing thereafter. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I too would start with the phone call.  They may well decide to help.

    Another update and good news...
I spoke with the rep from MAPP and she was very pleasant and understanding.
All she wanted was some form of proof that we actually shopped at the retail park and didnt just leave the car there and go elsewehre.

Managed to pull an old bank statement showing a transaction from one of the shops.

Just had email confirmation from MAPP that the PCN has been cancelled.  :)

I've asked for a letter in the post to confirm it in writing, but as it stands.. its a win!

Thank you to everyone who has responded in this thread and to the MSE forum for existing in general.

    Yay

Plan A (retailer complaint) strikes again!

Now there is something you can do which is in your interests and will help change the law, a change which is almost there.

Please do us and yourself (and the driving public) a favour and stick around on this forum to ensure you see when the Government publish and open the final Public Consultation (expected in late July/August).

Please please come back here to join our campaign, be heard and take part in the final Public Consultation to change and cement the law and ban the fake + £70 extortionate debt 'fees'.

    Your only chance.

Rest assured this isn't some weak petition going nowhere: the Government IS listening and regulation to stop the worst excesses of this rogue industry is very very nearly over the line!

Read, bookmark and set email alerts for new posts on the 2022 replies in the top sticky thread by MSE_JC.  Do that now, please.

We will tell everyone there when the Public Consultation opens.

Super news. Good to have helped. Nice when a plan - or Plan A - comes together.
