    You can't say this...
You are presuming the registered keeper is the driver of the vehicle. We have no recollection of who the driver on that day was and not obliged to provide you this information unless instructed by an appropriate authority to do so.

If you 'have no recollection of who was the driver on that day', how will being 'instructed by an appropriate authority' allow you to tell them who was driving

It might jolt the RK's memory  o:)

point noted, removed this and also out of proportion fine

  • Dear all

We sent ECP an appeal via registered post on 14/6/2023. They apparently rejected and sent an email which we never receive. We realised this when we were sent a final notification letter on 17/8/2023.
After receiving this notification, we immediately chased Odeon as they had already reassured us they would send a request to ECP to cancel this ticket. They agreed to send another email to ECP and we sent a proof of our partial payment along with the email from Odeon to ECP via registered post.

They have replied back stating we needed to appeal to POPLA and have now lost that window and need to pay them £100 immediately.

Should we chase Odeon again or ignore from this stage?
    Thanks

Of course you should chase Odeon, if they have the ability to get the PCN cancelled and assuming they are the contractor of the PPC.

Why were you sending anything by "registered" post when it is specifically advised inn the Newbies/FAQ thread NOT to use registered post. If you are going to use post, the all you need is to get a free proof of posting certificate from any post office.

When you posted your appeal, did you provide your email address? Had you already had contact with them online and provided your email address then?

Why do you ask for advice and then ignore it, as you can see it gets you nowhere.
Chase Odeon as B789 says but ECP aren't worth much more bother.
  • Thanks both, we will contact Odeon and ignore ECP for now
  • Dear members

As discussed, we requested Odeon to write to ECP and they sent a second email through their estates team requesting cancellation of ticket. However, we have received a letter from Deebt recovery plus demanding £170.
I have now gone through the newbies/FAQ thread after getting a scolding last time (Lol) including this thread

We believe ECP might have cancelled this ticket and the information forwarded to DRP might have been prior to Odeon writing to ECP. Hence we don't owe anything to anyone!!

Great! Try logging in as if to pay ECP.  Does the PCN show as £0 or csncelled?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • This is typical behaviour from ECP and DRP+. I have an ongoing situation where I am helping a family member who received a NtK from ECP. They got the PCN cancelled using Plan A. However, they have been receiving numerous DRP+ letters. Going back to the ECP site and entering the PCN just brings up a notice that says it is now out of their hands and to visit the DRP+ site.

I'm hopeful that the DRP+ hot air will eventually stop. I'm assuming no comms between DRP+ and ECP until the intellectually malnourished eeejits inform ECP that their threats didn't work and ECP just forget about it because they knew all along that it had been cancelled anyway. It's no skin off their nose anyway, because they know that DRP+ do it on a no-win, no-fee basis.

We received another Debt collector letter. We have written to Odeon to request ECP to inform the debt collectors about cancelled ticket but they haven't conformed it's cancelled.

Should we just ignore the letters for now?
