I am in the same situation as smiler19. I have had a letter through from DCBL, the exact same as the one above. So far I have just ignored previous letters. As far as I am concerned I am not liable for any charges as it was not me who was driving my car at the time. Am I orrect in thinking this? I have just joined the forum this morning so I will have a read of the linked posts. Thanks.0

You aren't if you aren't in Scotland. If you are, just do the forum search and read results. We have no time to do forum keyword searches for people. No need for a thread. We don't need any more Scotland threads repeating the exact same information.stevie_126 said:I am in the same situation as smiler19. If you want to name the driver and absolve all liability, you can. DCBL will lie and fraudulently claim you had 28 days to name the driver, but copy in the parking company. There is nothing either can do but accept.stevie_126 said:I am in the same situation as smiler19. I have had a letter through from DCBL, the exact same as the one above. You can escalate things if one or the other keep refusing.

Hi I have read the newbies previously when I posted last year and read again now post 2 but amen't sure what I should do now. I take it this is the final letter and possibly the next a court letter. Could you please send the link for what i should do now please for being in Scotland if I need to fill in any forms etc. Please.
Sorry to sound silly. I have looked but just want to make sure i'm doing it all the right way.
Again sorry to sound silly but even the correct post I should be looking at.

There won't be a claim unless they make a mistake. You are in Scotland!
No monies are payable; you are out of jurisdiction. Ignore all DCB Ltd letters. If they pass it to DCB Legal to send a LBC just adapt the 'Specsavers' sarcastic reply email linked in this reply to someone else in Scotland:
That'll put them back in their box.
If they are THEN daft enough to try an actual English Court Claim to a Defendant in Scotland, just get Jackson Yamba to strike the Claim Out using this service (no win no fee):

Thank you very much for your help and direction. Really is much appreciated. If I hear from DBC legal I will send them the email back. Hopefully they just go away though.
Have a nice day and thank you again.0
