"Last week I received a letter from a debt collection agency with the letters D and L in the name but I can't remember the name. "
"The SAR to dcbl and the parking eye, or just dcbl? This letter was their final notice."
Just checking - the private parking company is definitely ParkingEye Ltd?0 -

Hi,
Letter 2: Final Reminder - Unpaid Parking Charge £170.00 mentioning the Supreme Court Decision about Parking Charges
Letter 3: This letter. FINAL NOTICE OF DEBT RECOVERY
They both have the same letterhead: dcbl Direct Collection Bailiffs Ltd
Both signed Kin Heaton.
I was just about to email the letter to correct my address to both dcbl and Parking Eye. I won't request an SAR until I receive your reply.
Many thanks.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You don't "ask send an SAR" you submit a SAR to the PPC so that they send you all the data they hold on you. However, neither of those letters appear to be a proper letter of/before claim so I suggest you wait before submitting SAR until you have a N1 court claim form from CNBC/CCBC2

The only correspondence you need to react to is one from DCB Legal that is headed "Letter of Claim". It will be accompanied by a bunch of forms that you do not fill in. It will tell you that you have 30 days to pay of else they will issue a county court claim.
When you receive that "Letter of Claim", you can tell us about it. Anything else is to be ignored. In anticipation of receiving that letter, you should go back and re-read the second post in the Newbies/FAQ thread which tells you what you should do when you do receive it.1 -

The green dcbl legal 'Solicitors Reminder letter -Unpaid parking charge notice' arrived this morning. It says should I not make payment, they will issue a claim against me without notice.
The claim from DCBLegal (to the right address) is EXACTLY what you want because it is the path to discontinuance.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Okay, understood. It's not a dcbl Legal 'claim letter' just a solicitors reminder letter. I will wait as advised and not bother you again until I have it, and have requested the SAR. After I recieve that, I will make a post if needed.
Much appreciated. 😇Neurodiverse and struggling with not being 'normal'.0 -
Hello,
I submitted an SAR to the parking eye and requested a 30 hold to DCBL Legal, 30 days ago today.
I have had 2 communications from DCBL asking for my address in order to send me the SAR details. I was homeless for around 2 years before, and I have no idea where I was registered as living when the ticket was issued. I have sent them all the addresses I can think of, but they have said they do not match! Understandably, I had forgotten to update my V05 details, but I did this as soon as I realised my error. Because of this, they have not sent me any information for the ticket I have the fine for.
They have sent me details of a new ticket I received after my initial SAR request. This isn't a problem, as it was at the doctor's for an appointment when their car checking-in screen wasn't working properly. The doctor has given me proof and I have sent this to them. I have not heard back about cancelling this ticket yet.
As I can not get an SAR for this ticket. They have since put new signage up at this carpark. I also think they have changed parking from 90 minutes up to 2 hours now. There are 3 areas within this car park, and they now have a sign right at the entrance of the road to all 3 car parks. I feel it may be a revisit problem, rather than an overstay problem but I don't know.
The problem is my 30 day hold ends today, so I don't know what to do now or what to expect.
Sorry, it's complicated. Thanks in advance for your input.

You don't need the SAR reply. Better without!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
