420.00 June Budget
Newbie here
I would like to join the challenge but I have no idea how much I spent last month on food shopping. I am going to use the guidance from Nimble Fins 2022 which for 2 of us is 420, which sounds horrendous!
Thank you @elsiepac for running this thread11 -
hello, im single live & live alone with no pets.
I dont drive and i have a disability. so to make my life easier i went to shop online , done a month at a time .
I had Junes delivered Sunday . i had room, i had cleaned my freezer and fridge so it was just a case of slotting away. should also say I dont work
I went to ocado spent £166.46.this included treats as i have my grandson for tea once a week.
they had quite alot of offers i coincidentally needed and use.

Hello fellow Grocery Challenge chums
May was a bit wonky for me as we had a week's self catering holiday and holiday and grocery spends got blurred.
so for June I'm going to be more systematic with tracking spends and post regular updates here to keep a record of grocery spends.
thank you @elsiepac for the thread - it helps so many people.
£280 for June please

Hi Elsiepac
Please put me down for £150 in June
May went a bit wonky but hopefully things will level out in june10 -
€600 for this month for me please @elsiepac. You're the best!
I have been whittling down the presses for a few weeks, so we're definitely hitting odds and sods on a lot of things.
Spent a tenner today on fresh fish for dinner, sliced ham, and a couple of lunchbox treats.
Am planning a click and collect at the weekend to replenish a load of basics, plus dishwasher tabs and laundry liquid...at least it'll be cheaper than if I go in with a big trolley!10 -

Please
im finding £250 difficult to stick too especially as I like to stock up when things are on offer.£280 is probably more realistic
Tesco had good offers on that ended yesterday so I took advantage. 2 Pepsi max crates £12, some beers, other pop plus frozen, meat for the BBQ, needed alllll the sauces and other bits. I definitely won’t need any pop for the best part of 2 months if not longer. That being said my niece has been staying with us and she likes to drink fizzy drinks plus feeding her so soon adds up getting extra items in.
I’m hoping I won’t need to do another shop for a good week or so:money::rotfl::T11 -
Hi, I would like to start this month please. I am going to set our budget at £500 and see how I get on, realistically I can’t afford any more than that. Over time, I am hoping to get it down further, fingers crossed. There are four adults in the house, we have pets but I have a separate budget for them. Will include food and cleaning/toiletries.

I've hit the ground running with supermarket spends, yesterday & today, totalling £56.08. Market etc. tomorrow... DD1 & BF have indeed trotted up north for a bit but we have OH's twin brother for the weekend instead, so can't "coast" through on random stuff in the freezer. Next week - maybe!Angie - GC May 25: £74.30/£500 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 21/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)8

Desperate to try and stall spending on food for a bit. Made choc chip cup cakes with gluten free grandsons yesterday and oat biscuits today. Had 3 and half beefburgers from meals left over so just about had time to make 4 puff pastry cheese burger portions and a shepherds pie for 2 from them to put in freezer. Plan to make nice cream tomorrow with coconut milk cocoa powder, left over bananas and choc chips. Never tried this recipe before so fingers crossed. Very tired with 3 lively under 10's here all week but having a great time and very chuffed that I have found time to make thingd up with the left overs. Will have to do another inventry next week.craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £17.98 spent, 102 made and 5 mended,
