Thank you @elsiepac for the thread. I am going to aim for a budget of £300 for June running from 26th May - 27th June. This is for 2 adults an 8 year old and a dog and includes food, household, toiletries from the SM and dog food. We eat veggie mainly as DD has recently decided to be veggie!
I am hoping the allotment will start providing soon and am going to try and clear a drawer in the freezer this month ready for freezing any produce!

Running at 25% of planned spend so exactly where I should be so far.
Picked up a £20 off voucher for Sainsbugs for delivered orders before 10th June when spending £150 - this will need some careful planning but should give me a chance to do some bulk stocking on things I can only get there.KKAs at 15.04.25:

Well it has been a hectic week already and we havnt quite hit June yet! First an Aldi shop that I was extremely pleased with, then discovered bulk buy tea bags so £21.98 that I hadnt expected to pay out. (We do have enough not to buy any until next year though). We then went to the range! Not for food but DH bought some biscuits he needed. 🤷♀️. and gravy granules were the best price that I had seen in ages so £5.00 spent there. Aldi shop for ice lollies for little people, fresh fruit. Veg. Bread. Drinks, cooking oil and a few other bits. £37.00! I have never been shocked in Aldi before and I did stick to my list. Then tesco order came today. It included offers on bulk buy washing powder, toilet rolls and gluten free bread, It came to £165.00. I just hope that after half term we can live off the left overs for the month. Every time we have the Grandchildren to stay I am gobsmacked at how much it costs to feed them healthily. For all of you guys with little ones I am in awe. £90.00 left for the rest of June!craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £17.98 spent, 102 made and 5 mended,

I’m still in. As you know, I’m working with an annual budget but that should come in ok at the end of Dec.
I've had several big outlays on washing stuff, dishwasher tabs and bulk buys inc hind 1/4 cow for freezer just recently but can happily say that freezer, fridge and cupboards are now burgeoning with food so my weekly shop now will be tiddly and left as long as possible.
The garden is starting to come to life (later than many due to our location) greenhouse is now planted up with cuc, toms and peppers. Potatoes are earthed up and the leaves are looking lush. Planted courgettes, squash, beans out too and everything looks like it is happy in its position - for now anyway,
All gluts are frozen if we can’t eat them there and then or shared with friends/work colleagues if there is no space left.
I know I don’t check in very often but I will update at the halfway point at the end of this month.10 -
Thank you for the new thread, @elsiepac! I think I'll aim for
£550
again, please; June promises to be just as chaotic as May! Feeding 5 most of the time, although DD1 & BF are away for a week early on, but rumour has it that DS1 & his lovely bride are visiting instead. OH & I are away for a few days at the end of the month too, but that rarely ends up being any less expensive!Angie - GC May 25: £74.30/£500 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 21/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)10 -
Can’t remember if I’ve posted @elsiepac so
We’re in with £400 this month please
That’s to cover 2 adults, 2 children and doesn’t Include, alcohol, allergy free milk, bulk purchases or future benefits purchases such as offer items but does include washing powder, toilet roll and toiletries etc. We’ve had 2 spends i think already this month but there both a mixture of the grocery budget, bulk fund and beer pot so need to work it all out.Follow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay
