Energy Direct Debit £685 a month!

I have a 3 bed semi detached house, 4 occupants, heat the water in the morning have heating on an hour in the morning and about 4 hours in the evening but only set at 19.
We cook one family meal a day in the evening and everyone is out during the day.
My direct debit is £685 a month with OutFox the Market , everyone, including me is shocked at how high it is.
Is it a to high monthly repayment?
Is it worth changing supplier?

Forget £ use only meter reading / consumption which is in kWh.
Do you read meters every month. ?
Please go back 12 months or so and give us the meter readings from your bills - look for the letters A C E or our read/your read. Ignore the ones with E against the read.
Now read your meters today. Don't forget to ignore numbers after the decimal point;

In short yes that DD amount is obscene.
However as happens on this forum help us just a few questions and answers away.
If you are willing to answer the questions usage can be drilled down.
Firstly do you have a smart or dumb meter?
When was the last reading you took and supplied to the energy company and what was it for gas and electricity.
What is the reading today for gas and electricity.

By a smart meter do you mean something that shows me my personal energy usage if so Smart meter no, I have a new meter that sends electricity readings to Outfox but they can't get the gas meter to do that.

Make sure your gas meter reading is in m3.Check the bill to see how the gas volume has been converted to kWh. If you see a multiplier of 2.83 you're being overcharged.0
