Hello,
sorry if this has been covered i am just a little slow i have read as much as i could but not 100% sure on next steps.

Story is i went to a mates block/flats they have a PCM manging it. no barriers to get in its just like a normal road. i have been in there before and never had this. i parked up for about 10mins max on the end of the dead end road to pick up a mate and never left the car and my windows was open whole time, a sneaky sly scum of a attendant must of been in a car hiding as in never saw him, he took pictures from his car never came to my car or left his just took pics from the back of my car and i later received a PCN at home and ignored them till now where i have received claim form in the COUNTY COURT BUSINESS CENTRE. if there is anyone out there that can just tell me what i should do next i would really appreciate you!

    Hello and welcome.

What is the Issue Date on the Claim Form?

    Which Parking Company? Which Solicitors?

@KeithP will be along soon to furnish you with some important information.

In the meantime, start by reading the NEWBIES thread, a sticky thread at the top of this forum.

To avoid this in future please share this with every driver you know:

When you pick someone up, always wait on street.  Never ever drive into car parks for short waits because the scammers are there to scam you.

Even a double yellow on street is fine and legal for boarding or alighting a passenger.  Always look for yellow lines and use them as intended, to drop off or pick passengers up (it's what all on-street yellow lines are for...I really wish driving instructors would tell people this fact instead of misadvising everyone. They do not mean 'no stopping').

The NEWBIES thread already tells you what to do with a court claim. Please answer the above questions and we'll tell you your deadlines.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Being in the car, even with the windows down (don't know what difference that makes) is still (according to the PPC) parking;  don't try to use that in a defence.  When you compile your defence, with the help of our template, make sure that you use proper grammar and spelling so the judge understands what you are trying to say.

But you haven't answered the first question you were asked last Thursday.

    That question was...

I think for some reason, you've only read the advice for people with a LBC.  You were not meant to read that bit. You are not at LBC stage.

Not sure why you stopped short of reading the advice about how to defend a court claim...your stage!  Nothing about a SAR there.

Never ever prioritise a SAR when you must defend a claim!  Please tell us the date of issue.

With a Claim Issue Date of 16th May, you have until Monday 5th June to file an Acknowledgment of Service but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.
To file an Acknowledgment of Service, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.

Having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Monday 19th June 2023 to file your Defence.
That's four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute.
To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service guidance.
Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.

Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.
