Might be the case for serial malingerers. But not my experience at all (bowel cancer).Iansellers said:OH are used by employers for 2 reasons only- 1) to force the employee back to work or 2) to sack the employee. The outcome will be one of these. After my experiences with OH in the past 10-15 years ago, I wouldn't trust them, they are employed and paid for by the employer with the sole purpose to please the employer who is paying their invoice. Do not trust OH.5 -
Not my experience at all. I have dealt with OH both as a manager of other staff and in terms of my own return to work. They made practical suggestions in terms of working hours, ergonomics and special equipment (the issues were orthopaedic in nature). Obviously practitioners may differ.Iansellers said:OH are used by employers for 2 reasons only- 1) to force the employee back to work or 2) to sack the employee. The outcome will be one of these. Employee returns to work or employee is no longer employed. If there’s no adjustments that can be made there’s really no other realistic long term option. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.3 -
It's now been a while since I received my OH report and employer has also received it but I have heared nothing from them.0

Yes it is a relief. As previously they were contacting me more often. I suppose they now have the report and will sit tight for now.Mands said:
Which is a relief presumably? You said they'd been contacting you more than you wanted.pope said:It's now been a while since I received my OH report and employer has also received it but I have heared nothing from them.0
