I use a firestick and it is very good. Argos often have them on offer as well so you may pick one up cheap. I don't think I have actually used my aerial connection since getting it
Thanks. Yes may be the way rather than spend money towards fly lead, coupler etc. Is it better to get the 4k one?

I just have the basic one, and have never had any problems, but if you are wanting to watch in HD then is probably worth getting the better one.

My TV is pretty basic and not HD, so the quality is fine for me

I've ordered the Amazon fire stick, will test today, hopefully no issues (with my copper wire broadband speeds ~12-13mps)

It should be ok, I have mega fast full fibre now ( about 170mbps ) but used to use it on my old copper one that was only about 5mpbs and it worked fine on that for non HD

Done another reset and rescan came up with FEWER channels this time! Missing 25 or so now! Inc 3,4,5. Ridiculous. I'll be ordering a new aerial cable and coupler this week. Haven't had a chance to ask a neighbour. Is Amazon firestick or something a last resort?
It is ridiculous that you cannot be bothered to heed the basic advice to check with neighbours ... likely there is a fault with the communal aerial system and/or your wallplate that need fixed.

The Management Company / Freeholder of your Leasehold flat will be taking your money for maintenance of the communal system and giving you nothing in return if you let them.

A Firestick may be a useful thing but is not the same as proper broadcast HD TV.

Not ridiculous at all given we've just moved in and I've checked with the management company and awaiting their response. In the meantime, the firestick is doing the job and I'll be using that from now on.

Glad the firestick is working for you
