I'd tend to think pasties made from home made pastry could be frozen with uncooked pastry and cooked but cold filling or frozen after baking for the specified time and thorough chilling.
On the other hand, I think it would be safest if pasties from frozen pastry were cooked then frozen. There's probably advice on the pastry packet or manufacturer's website.
Defrosting overnight would be the best bet.

If you make your own pastry then you can freeze them raw, but if you are using frozen pastry it is best to cook them before freezing and then just warm them through in a microwave or oven when you want to eat themBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

I was thinking that frozen pastry would be safer if cooked rather than defrosted then refrozen.
And, if using home made pastry, then a cold filling wouldn't affect the pastry whereas a hot filling would start to "cook" it so the results might not be as good.

Excellent. Thank you so much. The leftover bolognaise is in the fridge so i will make my own pastry and freeze straight away. when i want them i will defrost in fridge overnight and then cook. Thank you so much.0

I would make the pasties, freeze them uncooked, then cook them straight from frozen into a hot oven, that should prevent soggy pastry; if you're using frozen pastry then you must cook them before refreezing as has been said
whatever you do, make sure the filling is reheated thoroughly and it will be fine.... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

I hope i'm posting this in the right place, sorry if i'm not.
I was thinking of trying to make some pasties today, i've done them once before and they were ok but i wanted to try and make them a bit healthier, i'm sure i read something somewhere that i could make the dough/pastry in the Panny using lower fat oil and pizza bread.
So i'm sitting here reading the recipie in the Panny book for pizza, do you that would work for a healthy pastie.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

I don't have a Panasonic BM so I can't comment on the specific recipe you're looking at, but you can definitely use pizza dough to make pasties - it's something I do every few months, with various fillings, and they're usually pretty good.
I tend to use half brown flour and half white flour to up the 'healthy' value even further.Back after a very long break!0
